After months of planning and deliberations, the 75th Ranger Regiment has been deployed to Syria to participate in the war against ISIS as the coalition closes in on the so-called caliphates capital city of Raqqa. Yesterday, the first images emerged of Stryker armored vehicles on their way to Manbij. This comes weeks after Rangers deployed to theater with their Strykers and elements of the 75th Ranger Regiment had been passing through Kurdistan.
By looking at the call sign tag on the back of the Stryker, it is evident that this is 3rd Ranger Battalion out of Fort Benning, Georgia,

“Keep cheering for Assad all youd like. Ill cheer for the Americans.”
Cheering for the Republic
I don’t care one bit for Assad, but he and his semi-moderate regime look awfully good right now considering the chaos that Obama and Hillary helped unleash on the Middle East and Syria.
Don’t forget and it needs to be said over and over - all that stood in the way of the Gulf States pipeline to Europe was.... Syria and Assad. Who donated so much money to the Clinton Foundation and pledged money to the Obama Foundation? The Gulf States. Who else wanted the pipeline? Turkey and Erdogan. Who didn’t want the pipeline? Russia and Iran.
Follow the money folks....... the pipeline to Europe for the Gulf States is potentially worth trillions and it would crush the Russian economy because they would lose their main meal ticket - energy to Europe.
Go back and look at the donations to the Clinton Foundation and follow a timeline of how our foreign policy shifted to all of a sudden support the Arab Spring. Syria was the prize all along for the pipeline. Egypt and Libya were just stepping stones along the way as our administration (and McCain) told us over and over that the peaceful people only wanted democracy when it was really the Muslim Brotherhood these leaders had kept in check.
Follow the money. I am increasingly convinced that the main impetus was and has been - the pipeline that Assad stood in the way of. It all makes sense if you step back and look at it and we are talking about trillions with a T.
Follow the money folks....... the pipeline to Europe for the Gulf States is potentially worth trillions and it would crush the Russian economy because they would lose their main meal ticket - energy to Europe.
Not really. The gulf pipe would remove Russia’s ability to use energy as a weapon to bully their neighbors with. That is why Putin murders to keep his monopoly.
Many people on the right know, too, that Assad created ISIS. People who support him are simply in denial about the facts that are only too clear. One example of what Assad and for that matter Putin have been about is their unwillingness to go after ISIS in the long war they've been waging to keep Assad in power. They've preferred to eliminate all other opposition first so as to use ISIS as the excuse for their war.

The Republic of Putinstan, maybe, is the one you’re cheering. I don’t know what other Republic you’d be cheering for, or maybe you think Assad’s 49-year naval lease of Tartus to Putin is also a good thing.
Don’t confuse the pro-Assad folks with the facts. They get their news from RT and Sputnik and cannot be disabused of Putin’s fake news and propaganda. He enjoys their complete trust. As for President Trump and the USA, they’re in grave doubt.
I don’t like Assad. Never did and never will. However, our meddling in the Middle East and ignorance in supporting the Arab Spring was a match that helped light the fire.
There are many things at play, but my point was not to defend or even like Assad (although a reset to a few years ago would look much better). It was to point out that the radical shift in our foreign policy came about at the same time the huge donations and pledges were made to the Clinton foundation.
Consider, if MSM reports are to be believed that Obama did not really want to get involved in Libya, but Clinton and foggy bottom were pushing him to do so. At that point, it appeared to become personal for Clinton when it came to Libya. We bumbled and fumbled our way through the whole mess with a policy that even had the leftist media scratching their heads.
We had NO BUSINESS pushing for regime change in the Middle East. It was and has been a complete and total disaster that furthered the interest of a few to the detriment of many.
I don’t like any of them, but my point stands. U.S. foreign policy had been somewhat settled in the region until donations started flowing to the Clinton Foundation by players who had their own interests.
The fingerprints of Hillary were all over the place as the checks flowed.
“I dont know what other Republic youd be cheering for”
Projecting? You said you supported “the Americans”, third person. Which means, you aren’t really one yourself?
Like all neocons, you make the self-serving claim that anyone who is for sovereignty for all nations endorses everything that they do.
I don’t dispute that the pipeline would further our interests by weakening the hold Russia has on Europe, but the costs have been and continue to be very high in the region and on the terror front.
Again, as stated above, when we weighed our options of a long time it was a stalemate. The major change in our behavior all came about at the same time checks flowed to the Clinton foundation.
If it were in our interests to promote the pipeline I would be fine with it. However, the people making interest on the deal now are the Clintons who reportedly moved the slush fund to the Gulf (if reports are credible)?
Too few have curiosity about how the Clinton Foundation and donations seemed to steer our foreign policy. Too few have curiosity about what pledges were made to the Obama foundation by the same people in return for a radical change in policy in the region.
We are all focused on the bloody mess in the sandbox without inquiry into how we arrived at this point and why.
“We had NO BUSINESS pushing for regime change in the Middle East. It was and has been a complete and total disaster that furthered the interest of a few to the detriment of many.”
Exactly
“Sovereignty?” So you think because Assad’s daddy made him the sovereign we should support him? Yes, I support the USA. I’m an American veteran and most of what I know about the region is from my personal experience in the area. I don’t know why you support Assad other than a fondness for thugs.
Even if we shouldn’t have done what was done, that’s not a good reason not to finish ISIS off. That was a campaign promise of the Presidents. Annihilating these monsters may be upsetting to you, but it’s going to be done anyway. So go cry for them and blame America for the past. You can do that by ignoring the fact that ISIS was created by Assad and Saddam, and you can sound like a Lefty by blaming America first!
“So you think because Assads daddy made him the sovereign we should support him?”
No one here is supporting Assad, that I am aware of. Your claim to the contrary is classic Clinton-speak.
Syria can take care of themselves, maybe with the help of the allies they choose themselves.
When the West/Saudi stop funding ISIS (and the like), they will have no support.
We have business to take care of here at home. Enough trillions have been spent installing jihadists in the ME.
“I dont know why you support Assad other than a fondness for thugs.”
Most neocon trash talk

They don’t want ISIS to get away. The practice of Arab “allies” for too long has been to allow ISIS safe passage out of the area, in exchange for not having to fight them.
Have the Army block ISIS’s exit, then let the Kurds go in and take their revenge by killing them all.
“sound like a Lefty by blaming America first”
Ah, here we go again with that moronic smear.
The folks who deserve the blame are the individuals who created the policy in the first place. The President ran against the policies of those individuals.
No one is blaming ordinary Americans.
No on is blaming the Constitution.
“America bashing”
More projection on your part.
Many of us on the conservative/Christian/constitutional side who went for this line of thinking in the early Bush years, aren’t going for it any more. Sorry “bud”.
The Clintons are yesterday’s news. I don’t know why you are fixated on that. All that is water under the bridge at this point.
The fact is Putinist Russia and their BFF Death to America Iran are on the move in the Middle East. Nothing good will come of that. Period. They must be engaged and rolled back.
Yeah, you’re the real Christian, supporter of Assad - barrel bomber of women and children - and Putin. Go pray for ISIS, Assad’s creation.
Kick their @ss and take their gas!!
Wonder whether we’re going to make them pay for the costs??
We should.
Oh, and we better have some interrogation sites set up.
