I don’t care one bit for Assad, but he and his semi-moderate regime look awfully good right now considering the chaos that Obama and Hillary helped unleash on the Middle East and Syria.

Don’t forget and it needs to be said over and over - all that stood in the way of the Gulf States pipeline to Europe was.... Syria and Assad. Who donated so much money to the Clinton Foundation and pledged money to the Obama Foundation? The Gulf States. Who else wanted the pipeline? Turkey and Erdogan. Who didn’t want the pipeline? Russia and Iran.

Follow the money folks....... the pipeline to Europe for the Gulf States is potentially worth trillions and it would crush the Russian economy because they would lose their main meal ticket - energy to Europe.

Go back and look at the donations to the Clinton Foundation and follow a timeline of how our foreign policy shifted to all of a sudden support the Arab Spring. Syria was the prize all along for the pipeline. Egypt and Libya were just stepping stones along the way as our administration (and McCain) told us over and over that the peaceful people only wanted democracy when it was really the Muslim Brotherhood these leaders had kept in check.

Follow the money. I am increasingly convinced that the main impetus was and has been - the pipeline that Assad stood in the way of. It all makes sense if you step back and look at it and we are talking about trillions with a T.

Not really. The gulf pipe would remove Russia’s ability to use energy as a weapon to bully their neighbors with. That is why Putin murders to keep his monopoly.

You're telling this "story' as if Assad's hands are clean. They are not. He assisted the rat lines that helped al Qaeda ship its volunteers into Iraq where they killed many Americans. He resisted the righteous cause of those who wanted a free country by launching a war on peaceful demonstrators. He drops barrel bombs of explosives and shrapnel on market places killing indiscriminately. Many independent observers believe he has killed ten times as many Syrians as ISIS.

Many people on the right know, too, that Assad created ISIS. People who support him are simply in denial about the facts that are only too clear. One example of what Assad and for that matter Putin have been about is their unwillingness to go after ISIS in the long war they've been waging to keep Assad in power. They've preferred to eliminate all other opposition first so as to use ISIS as the excuse for their war.

Your quarrel is with President Trump. He’s not following your defeatism and conspiracy theories.
