The Media Pretends Not to Know the Wiretapping of Trump They Are Using
Frontpage ^ | March 5, 2017 | Daniel Greenfield

It's 2017 and the marketplace of ideas is so deeply degraded that even simple discussions become impossible. And so the media simultaneously reports on the very eavesdropping of Trump and his people carried out under Obama. All the while insisting that Trump's accusation of wiretapping is "unproven", that Trump "offers no evidence" and that he traffics in conspiracy theories. The wiretapping was widely reported by the very media that is now pretending to have no idea what is being discussed.

The only conspiracy theory on the table here is whether Obama and his people played any role in the spying. And considering the IRS being used to target Obama's enemies, the filmmaker behind one Obama movie ending up in jail, the filmmaker behind another movie Obama didn't like also ending up in jail, it's not much of a reach.

The official claim is that the wiretapping was a national security matter. But there's a basic problem with spying on your opponents, then leaking the material to your media allies while pretending that you're only recreating Watergate x 1000 because you're such a patriot. The Watergate buggers thought they were patriots too. And the Democrats had more ties to the Russians than Trump did.   At this point, we know there was extensive spying on Trump's people, both by domestic services under Obama, and also some European services. Their only defense is that there's fire as well as smoke. If there turns out not to be a fire, then what we have is indeed Watergate.   And ought to be treated as such.

The media make up lies about Trump and cover up for Obama.

If there was any fire at all, they would have stoked it to the max right before the election. They didn’t because there’s not.

I just heard Mike Wallace spouting this nonsense a few minutes ago. I’m screaming at the TV “ You’ve been reporting about the results of this wiretapping for months without proof, what are you talking about?”

Are these people so stupid they don’t see that?

The question is not “Will there be indictments?”

The only questions are how many will there be and does Obama get one, two or more?

Don’t bother turning on MSM to get the ‘latest’ on OMAMA’S wiretapping scheme. The cover up and lies have turned into a raging fire.

A Commitee from A.F.E.A., could put togther an evidence chart, of all the dots, of Obama/Hillary Plot/Corrupion. If they did the DNC, along with O/H and a few other LeftLibs, would all be Cell Mates in GITMO.

CALLING Pres. TRUMP!

I have been screaming the same thing at the TV since yesterday.

The Russians Hacked the Election
THERE IS NO PROOF AND NEVER HAS BEEN, yet they continue to spread this rumor.

No evidence of wiretapping except their own reporting, and it is poo pooed for NO EVIDENCE??

Fox & Friends was good on this story until Chris Wallace showed up, said Obama's staff was trolling Trump, and, therefore, should not be taken seriously when they say the might very well have wire-tapped him. He defended the former administration while making up all sorts of hypotheses about Trump.

Is Fox the only station to have different points of view about Trump - leading to total schizophrenia??

Next time some liberal or news anchor (yeah I know they are the same thing) spouts this nonsense the Trump people should start demanding proof the Russians hack the election. We still haven’t seen any and the libs are pullin the climate change defense of its proven. Really, let’s see that proof.

There should be records of the FBI attempting to gain warrants and, upon failure, records of their requests at FISA court.

I think this info, even if partially redacted, would be enough of a starting point for a full scale investigation as to whether or not this was proper.

Chris Wallace did what he had to do as a journalist, he asked what proof Trump has for his allegations? That is not a partisan snipe, it is a fundamental question that has to be answered by Trump who now has had 24 hours to come up with the goods.

We are talking about a world shaking constitutional crisis in which former Democrat operatives, not excluding the president of the United States, can go to jail. When the sitting president of the United States makes allegations of this degree of seriousness and magnitude concerning his predecessor in office, by name, it is incumbent on him to come out from behind the 145 characters and justify the accusations.

That is not to say that there is no basis for the accusations, that is not to say that there are not plenty of dots which might be connected, that is not to say that all manner of profound questions arise concerning the propriety of snooping on a presidential candidate by an opposition party and still maintaining a democracy. The whole idea of bugging an American citizen, much less a presidential candidate and a President-elect, failing to maintain the confidentiality of the data produced according to law, actually committing a crime in leaking the information, coupled with an executive order proliferating the hands into which the information would be delivered, even without malicious motive, requires exhaustive inquiry and prosecutions where warranted.

The charge is profoundly serious, serious people want serious evidence.

Chris Wallace is smarmy, dishonest, unwatchable. I don’t know why they keep him. I can’t be the only one who refuses to watch him.

I personally have no doubt its true. If you have followed Obama and his modus operandi, he has a history of unsealing sealed records, against every one of his political enemies, while his own history remains locked up tight as a drum.

I took this as a shot across the bow from Trump. I don’t believe he made the charge without evidence. If he has it, Obama knows he has it. He can back off, or it should start to dribble out.

If I am right, of course... They intend to force Trump’s resignation before the midterm elections. He needs to fight back with some energy. Part of that should be to offer Obama the choice of living out his days as a respected senior statesman, or be turned into Jimmy Carter.
