Chris Wallace did what he had to do as a journalist, he asked what proof Trump has for his allegations? That is not a partisan snipe, it is a fundamental question that has to be answered by Trump who now has had 24 hours to come up with the goods.

We are talking about a world shaking constitutional crisis in which former Democrat operatives, not excluding the president of the United States, can go to jail. When the sitting president of the United States makes allegations of this degree of seriousness and magnitude concerning his predecessor in office, by name, it is incumbent on him to come out from behind the 145 characters and justify the accusations.

That is not to say that there is no basis for the accusations, that is not to say that there are not plenty of dots which might be connected, that is not to say that all manner of profound questions arise concerning the propriety of snooping on a presidential candidate by an opposition party and still maintaining a democracy. The whole idea of bugging an American citizen, much less a presidential candidate and a President-elect, failing to maintain the confidentiality of the data produced according to law, actually committing a crime in leaking the information, coupled with an executive order proliferating the hands into which the information would be delivered, even without malicious motive, requires exhaustive inquiry and prosecutions where warranted.

The charge is profoundly serious, serious people want serious evidence.

I personally have no doubt its true. If you have followed Obama and his modus operandi, he has a history of unsealing sealed records, against every one of his political enemies, while his own history remains locked up tight as a drum.

I took this as a shot across the bow from Trump. I don’t believe he made the charge without evidence. If he has it, Obama knows he has it. He can back off, or it should start to dribble out.

If I am right, of course... They intend to force Trump’s resignation before the midterm elections. He needs to fight back with some energy. Part of that should be to offer Obama the choice of living out his days as a respected senior statesman, or be turned into Jimmy Carter.

Naw. Make you them sweat for a bit. Why should Trump have to produce the goods right out the gate when the accusations against him haven’t been proven. 2 can get the play this game.

I absolutely agree with everything you said. However, I do not discount the possibility of this being the “stick” as opposed to a “carrot” in some undisclosed negotiation between Trump and those trying to destroy his presidency.

I agree..? has anyone got a lick of evidence that Trump colluded with the Russian to hack the election?
And if they do why haven’t they presented it?
Cause they don’t?

Trump plays the Marx-0-Progs like a master violinst. He dribbles out an outrageous tweet. The Marx-0-Progs deny it for a few days.

He then releases the evidence and accomplishes two things: 1) Guilt, 2) Prove the Marx-0-Progs are liars.

The media is reporting on conversations that could ONLY be learned from "wiretaps".

Another way...

Has it dawned on the American people, in general, that the ONLY way the claims of collusion with the Russians could be known is by "wiretaps"?

The disconnect from reality here is almost unfathomable. The Obama Administration used 'National Security' as an excuse to go to the FISA court so they could use the Intelligence Agencies to spy on the Trump Campaign. The FISA Court turned them down in June. They went to the FISA Appellate panel, which are ALL Clinton Appointees and got the warrant. They then shared that intelligence illegally with the Clinton campaign and the media.

24 hours ain’t that long.
Besides, it looks like the longer he waits, the longer the drop will be before the loop in the rope snaps taut.

Would not surprise me in the least if the Trump Train has known about this since before the election and has been spoon feeding the eavesdroppers all kinds of misinformation.

Would certainly go a long way in explaining how the RATS, the “polls” and the media “got it so wrong” in their election predictions.

People have been calling for proof that the Russians hacked the election. Has Chris Wallace asked for proof of that allegation? Maybe I missed it. The allegation was put out there as though the accusation was settled, with no call for proof at the time it was made public.

After all, good reporters do keep the playing field fair and balanced..

Not correct. The name is shorthand for the administration. Nixon did not order the break-in. Obama did not order fast and furious. Obama did not order Lerner to do anything or order her to destroy all her emails. That's not how it works.

Your demand that our President Trump must reveal his plans and evidence over this issue is like the mainstream media demanding that obama reveal when he will pull the military out of Iraq. Trump will tell you, “I’m not going to tell you.”

He’ll tell us when it’s to our advantage.

Your hatred for Trump and your love for the GOPe and the globalists is clouding your strategic abilities, NBF.

Your posts in this thread are logical and reasonable.

I want hard evidence. I believe news reports about the Obama administration pursuing a FISA court’s permission for electronic surveillance are probably true. The FISA court turned them down the first time. It’s what happened after that that isn’t clear to me.

I want evidence, real, rock-solid evidence. I want it presented in public. If a crime was committed I want someone jailed. If no crime was committed, I still want the Democrats shamed for their hubris.

Thanks for posting logical, reasonable posts amid the chaos on this issue.
