At the risk of getting all the Mark Levin haters foaming at the mouth, I believe that he explained on Thursday night’s program that a change was made to the original FISA request and a modified form was subsequently approved.
Will go back and try to find it...
Correct. Fisa approved one in oct for computer server.
According to Levin, Andrew McCarthy provided the following details. The original June FISA request mentioned Tromp, by name. But the standard for requests is ‘probable cause’ that a named individual be an agent of a foreign power in order to obtain a wiretap. That did not fly.
In October, a narrowed request was made, omitting Trump’s name, but including those of Paul Manafort, Roger Stone and somebody named Page(?) This request was apparently approved.
I got this from Levin’s March 2nd Audio Rewind (podcast), starting at about 8 minutes in. I take no responsibility for the accuracy of the information, and won’t get into a pissing contest about Levin or anything else. Just reporting on what I heard, and where I heard it...
Levin probably helped revise the petition.
