According to Levin, Andrew McCarthy provided the following details. The original June FISA request mentioned Tromp, by name. But the standard for requests is ‘probable cause’ that a named individual be an agent of a foreign power in order to obtain a wiretap. That did not fly.

In October, a narrowed request was made, omitting Trump’s name, but including those of Paul Manafort, Roger Stone and somebody named Page(?) This request was apparently approved.

I got this from Levin’s March 2nd Audio Rewind (podcast), starting at about 8 minutes in. I take no responsibility for the accuracy of the information, and won’t get into a pissing contest about Levin or anything else. Just reporting on what I heard, and where I heard it...

It is time for Chris Christie to be appointed Special Prosecutor to investigate “Obama-Gate” and Valerie Jarrett’s Iranian “connections”.

Question:
Since Sessions had recused himself, does this mean he CANNOT investigate this incident because it happened during the campaign?

"At the risk of getting all the Mark Levin haters foaming at the mouth, I believe that he explained on Thursday night’s program that a change was made to the original FISA request and a modified form was subsequently approved."

Levin probably helped revise the petition.

Well you just got your attorney general to recuse himself from election fraud...........involving the Russians.

Nothing to stop Sessions in this case. Also, its likely to be investigated by the Feds in NY.

October one was for a bank server, not President Trump’s phones.

0 went way beyond what was approved.

And the feds in New York have Preet Bharara, a bulldog of an investigator...

And you are right, AG Sessions only backed out of investigating —Russian- involvement, —not— 0’s or anyone else’s.

Everyone knows that if Barack Obama wanted to wiretap Trump or anyone else, he wouldn’t be constrained by the legal requirement to get a FISA warrant. He believes he is above the law.

Remember:

Obama wiretapped teh parents of Fox News’s James Rosen — no legal authority that I know of.

He illegally used the IRS to punish political opponents.

He illegally used an executive order to give amnesty to “Dreamers” — a power even he admitted he didn’t have.

He and Eric Holder intervened ion the ongoing case against the New Black panthers to end the prosecution — after the Bush Administration had essentially gotten them convicted.

So why wouldn’t hve wiretap Trump, with or without a warrant?
