Sir Rod Stewart could be in breach of strict cyber-crime laws after he was filmed seeming to mimic a beheading in a video. Legal experts have warned the United Arab Emirates' laws forbid people from inciting religious contempt, discrimination or hatred.
Radha Stirling, legal consultant for Detained in Dubai, said: I can cite precedents where they have put people in prison for lesser crimes than this. The families of killer Jihadi John s victims have branded the singer disgusting.
The singer has offered his deepest apologies, but said his actions in the Abu Dhabi desert were misinterpreted.
The singer, 72, was filmed forcing a male friend to kneel in front of him, then holding his hair and making a cutting motion across his throat.

Free Rod!
It’s not actually legal unless you do it for real.

“Did he ever finish getting his stomach pumped?”
HA! I remember that rumor! And Richard Gere having a gerbil removed.
That wasn’t Rod Stewart! Rod has always been a ladies’ man. The stomach pump relates to a minor British New Romantic singer of the 1980s.
Forevvvvverrrrrr DumBBBBBBBBBB
Hey.... Rod bought me a beer at New Orleans International
while I was waiting for my lady to land. Then I bought him one, or two.
Just two guys waiting for a lady. Class act. One of those moments.

Heh!
Really? I never heard that, I always thought Rod was 110% on the hetero side of the fence.
this is like a conversation they would have at Cheers LOL. Some funny comments. :)
The rumor was probably false. I think the rumor was sometimes changed to Steven Tyler, if I recall correctly.
I was wondering when that was going to be mentioned. Only four posts. Not bad.
Ah, the great religion of peace, where beheading infidels is accepted, but depicting a beheading is a punishable act...
About ten years ago it was changed to Britney Spears and the rumor was on steroids because of the interwebs.
