Robert Barnes: Obama Encouraged ‘Deep State’ ‘De Facto Coup’ Against Trump
breitbart ^ | JOHN HAYWARD

Posted on 03/03/2017 12:03:25 PM PST by davikkm

On Friday’s Breitbart News Daily, SiriusXM host Alex Marlow asked attorney Robert Barnes about the campaign of leaks designed to damage the Trump administration, described by some observers as “deep state” career bureaucrats and/or holdovers from the Obama administration acting as saboteurs. Marlow wondered if there was any legal recourse for the Trump administration to halt this operation. “Yes, there is,” Barnes replied. “In fact, it’s one of the directions that a future investigation can take. A future investigation doesn’t have to focus on whatever it is the Democrats or liberals want. It can focus on the illegal leaks that took place.”

“As I mentioned the other day to a liberal lawyer friend of mine, the worst thing ever accused concerning Nixon was about using private resources to try to illegally spy on people. Here you had Obama’s people using the NSA to spy on his adversaries, and apparently include the CIA, the FBI, and members of the Department of Justice in that loop, in a manner that was not approved of by any court, that was not approved by even a FISA court – the special court that monitors certain kinds of surveillance,” he said.

I get the feeling that the Admin is waiting to get all their ducks in a row before they really let the rubber hit the road.

What did Schumer know and when did he know it?

As the Senate squabbles over whether to confirm Rep. Mike Pompeo on Friday as CIA director, Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer is urging the Trump administration to keep John Brennan in the top intelligence job until Monday.

However, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell's office said hours later it had been formally informed that Brennan and the deputy director have resigned, underscoring Republicans' desire for Pompeo to be confirmed Friday. Schumer had asked Vice President-elect Mike Pence to keep Brennan on, according to a Schumer aide.

Ep. 111 - John Brennan
John Brennan, the outgoing CIA Director, talks with David Axelrod about the consequences that could arise from devaluing the intelligence community, the Russian hack into the Democratic National Committee's computers, the many geopolitical challenges in the Middle East, and much more.

On the most recent Fox News Sunday, Brennan went way above his pay grade and beyond his job description when he lectured the president-elect on how he should conduct his job when in office. He tore into Donald Trump for his tweets about Russia and his complaints about someone or some people in the secret squirrel business dumping scurrilous and unfounded accusations about Trump into the public trough, there for eager and gullible journalists to roll and snuffle in.

Yes, the information was “available publicly,” but had been ignored (as malicious gossip should be) until given the impetus and imprimatur of what we have learned to call “the intelligence community.” This community (why is everything a community these days?) clearly includes among its able and honest practitioners a toxic number of political partisans at its highest levels.

And back to the original point about job descriptions, Brennan has been with the CIA way too long not to know that his job, and his agency’s job, is to gather information and share it with the president, not to leak it to the press. And certainly not to make stuff up for its destructive political value.

That could be true. But with so many fake stories already floating around one more possible scandal isn’t likely to get much traction.

That would be a desirable outcome here, but might set a bad precedent.

_______________

I think it would set a great precedent. And show the elites that their lives are on the line, not the Forgotten Man’s.

There will be a Dem administration, later or sooner. The same powers that are enhanced now will be abused by them later.

Trump should shred everything obutthole has ever written or signed, recycle it and turn it into Trump toilet paper.

Obamacare alone would provide him with enough asswipe for the 8 years he is in the White House

_____________-

Yes there may be, but it will be much more careful, for prosecution would not come from current administration but instead from the people.

Interesting... The Intercept is the paper/site that the guy who carried out the antisemitic vandalism in St Louis worked for at one time.

The left is paying him for them. It’s all about creating the narrative.

What Obama has done is disgraceful. Will we never be rid of this Marxist/Muslim usurper? I wish someone had the guts to expose the whole sordid mess re; his family, upbringing and lawlessness- destroy his precious 'legacy'.

'The Obama File' (Google it) has it all, and it's all true. Easily proven, but I doubt anyone is brave enough to expose him. Can't do that. He's black. That would be racist- even though he almost destroyed America.
