Immigration agents detained an undocumented Los Angeles father of four U.S.-born children as he was about to drop off his daughter at school earlier this week, dramatic video shows.
Romulo Avelica-Gonzalez, a 48-year-old Mexican immigrant who has lived and worked in the country for over 25 years, was pulled over by agents a few blocks from his 12-year-old daughter's school in Pasadena on Tuesday morning, attorney Emi MacLean told the Daily News.
The agents, donning blue jackets with the word "police" emblazoned across their backs, cuffed Avelica-Gonzalez and placed him in an unmarked vehicle, as his daughter and wife could be heard in a video weeping from the backseat.
Avelica-Gonzalez was taken to a nearby detention center, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials informed his family members that he was set to be deported the very same evening.

The media always tries to play the crimes down.
Or 25 years of corporate America passing up Americans.
Deportation is not a punishment.
Something worse about his case maybe
Zero sympathy.
Good. These stories make me happy. The fact that they have been brazenly walking among us for so long really gets my goat.
“Methinks there is more to the story than meets the eye.”

+1.
A ten year old DUI isn’t worth a bucket of warm spit.
‘Wife probably illegal too but they didnt take her.’
They probably leave one or two go on purpose.
I would assume that a deportation order was issued 10 years ago. Nobody bothered to execute it before. They didn't just pick this guy out randomly. They had an arrest warrant or a deportation order. He was on a list.
There has to be a reason, why he never became a citizen after 25 plus years here.
How many times has he voted in those 25 years?
First hand account of another one detained:
“While they were having dinner, a knock came at the door. My sister answered and two police officers were at the door . They decieved her by telling her that they were doing an investigation for identity theft around the neighborhood. But as soon as Ignacio came to the door , they actually revealed themselves as the Immigration police. They tore him away from his family at that very moment, in front of his children’s eyes. “

“Kaiser Sulse”
Let this be a lesson to all illegal Aliens— GET THE HELL OUT! And take your 12 year girl with you and get out of our taxpayer funded schools!! You have no right here . ADIOS!! GO TRUMP!!
“My dad always takes my little sisters to school,” Jocelyn Avelica, Avelica-Gonzalez’s 19-year-old daughter told LAist. Jocelyn, who was at work at the time, said that the car that detained her father had been following him since he had left his house that morning.
“My dad dropped off my first sister and then when he turned around, they turned on their light,” Jocelyn said. “My dad was really scared. He didn’t want to pull over, but he did. As soon as he did, one car went in front of his truck and one in back of his truck. They took him out and they arrested him. My little sister was still in the car, she’s 13. My mom was also there.” Avelica-Gonzalez’s wife and 13-year-old daughter watched as ICE officials, wearing jackets that just said “POLICE,” arrested him.

Trump may disappoint you - he’s centrist.
Sounds like they found the identity thief.
A DUI is a criminal record. Numerous Americans have been killed by illegal drunk drivers. About 5-6 years ago in Virginia Beach two high school girls, one 16 and one 17 were killed by an illegal as they sat in a car stopped at a red light.
Romulo Avelica-Gonzalez has a nice car and has a nice house. He must have been working all of these years and the company he was working for was blatantly breaking the law by having him in their employment.
Romulo Avelica-Gonzalez should be deported and his employer should be prosecuted.
Sounds like they found the identity thief.
