Wasn’t something similar said about Gen. Flynn before he ended up under the bus?

The Democrats are overplaying their hand. They lost the election and now, they have lost their grip on reality. The real story is all of the illegal leaks of classified and other information. It is a total witch hunt!

So calling a spade a spade is "playing-into-DemonCrap-narrative"?

You're losing it, man.

This statement shows unequivocally that the President has his AG's back, and emphasizes the fact that this is just a political witch hunt.

This remains a war of morale, just like during the election cycle. Never forget that. You're allowing something to affect your morale that shouldn't.

Lighten up, Francis. The only thing that's "playing-into-the-DemonCrap-narrative" is gratuitous knee-jerk second guessing...

It’s kind of a hell if he does, hell if he doesn’t situation.

Recusing himself from an investigation into the campaign is logical. Of course, Democrats NEVER would do this. The ‘right’ thing.

I think this is a small thing the media/dems have tried to turn into a big thing, and it will fizzle in the end.

Opinions vary though.

Statement could have been better w/out this sentence:

He could have stated his response more accurately, but it was clearly not intentional.

His response was accurate. He met with him in his capacity as a Senator, not in his capacity with regards to the campaign. He also had that informal meeting where there were ambassadors at a Heritage event - nothingburger. Trump should have reiterated that point. However, I also feel Sessions could have articulated that point better today as well. They are out for blood. Don't give them ANY openings.

“I don’t like this. Too much playing-into-DemonCrap-narrative.”

Precisely. If it isn’t an issue, then don’t treat it like it is. IOW, don’t dignify their muck raking with any additional response ... and then another, and another.
Yes. This allows them to set the topoi: the narrative.

This is why President Trump barred some of their nastier MSM from briefings and is blowing off their correspondents dinner: why sit there and listen to people who called you a Nazi earlier in the day?
Are they interested in the truth or in seeing justice served? Do, do, d-uuuuh ... they never have been in the past.
They just want to hurt Trump. Period. This is pure politics. The president is still learning how to think like an insane, s***ting politician.

A big mistake may have been President Trump giving in to them on Flynn. They see that as weakness and it spurs them on.

From now on, IMHO, when they pull another red herring out of the muck (after this latest one expires), Spicer should give one short response: “Here’s what you guys and your networks are leaving out, as usual: ______________”. Then insert approp. question, e.g. “Are you folks going to pound your drums for 30 Democrats and McCaskill too? OK, next, the border ....”. And don’t let them take up any more of President Trump’s time!

Yes, playing this game is exactly what that grinning gargoyle Schumer, Nanzi, `Liverlips’ Franken, the `rats et al. want: for President Trump to participate in their narrative.
And this one, as usual, is made up completely out of whole cloth. It could be anything, and next week it will be something similar, some variant on, “There are cossacks under our bed”.
His press secretary should be handling these kind of BS political attacks anyway. It’s beneath the President Trump.

So this guy e-mails his sister-in-law, a nasty yellow dog Democrat, every Friday evening:

“Did you hear what President Trump did this week?”

She replies, “You’ve asked me this same question every week for the months. I don’t want to hear about it. Why do you do this over-and-over!”

And he says, “I just like saying `President Trump’.”
