It’s kind of a hell if he does, hell if he doesn’t situation.

Recusing himself from an investigation into the campaign is logical. Of course, Democrats NEVER would do this. The ‘right’ thing.

I think this is a small thing the media/dems have tried to turn into a big thing, and it will fizzle in the end.

Opinions vary though.

I take no issue with the recusal. In fact, Sessions, during confirmation, said he would recuse if any investigation occured about the Trump campaign. This, to me, is perfectly okay.

The problems I am seeing is what I perceived as a weak-sister performance by Jeff Sessions at the presser, in which he said a few times “I don’t recall”, and even said “Maybe I should have answered differently.”

Then this one sentence by President Trump in an otherwise flawless statement: “He could have stated his response more accurately, but it was clearly not intentional. “

These people have all day to prepare their statements. They cannot let one opening, one tactical mistake, be contained therein.
