A partial repeal screws it up worse and brings Single Payer even closer which is what McConnell and McCain and probably all the other Republicans actually want, regardless of their current posturings. It’s what the CofC wants and the CofC is the paymaster for the Congressmen.

They will try to repaint it and rearrange some of the controls. They will not even try to "fix" it. My attitude toward the Republicans in Congress is total cynical skepticism. "How much income do I get from it?" is the only important question in their minds. Trump can get Repeal only if he somehow makes it more damaging to the congressmen's income streams to not repeal it. Perhaps the DoJ can announce and prosecute RICO against all the major lobbying company CEOs and boards of directors.
