COLUMBUS -- Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted announced an investigation has uncovered that hundreds of non-US citizens are registered to vote in the state, and dozens of them voted illegally.
According to a release from Husted, 385 people who are not citizens of the United States are registered to vote in Ohio. Out of those, 82 voted in at least one election in the last year.
Husteds office says the 82 non-citizens who are registered to vote and cast ballots will be immediately referred to law enforcement for further investigation and possible prosecution.
In light of the national discussion about illegal voting it is important to inform our discussions with facts. The fact is voter fraud happens, it is rare and when it happens, we hold people accountable, Secretary Husted said.
19 of the 82 non-citizens voted in the central Ohio area. 14 of those were in Franklin County, 2 were in Delaware County and 1 each in Fairfield, Licking and Union Counties.
Any non-citizens identified that remain on the rolls after being contacted twice will then be referred to law enforcement, according to Husted.

It’s not just non-citizens. How many dead people voted? How many incarcerated felons?
For every one they find, there’s another 100 they haven’t.
I heard that just a few days ago...Just ask Shep Smith.
From the article: According to a release from Husted, 385 people who are not citizens of the United States are registered to vote in Ohio. Out of those, 82 voted in at least one election in the last year.
I believe the article shows that 21% of registered illegals voted, not 21% of all illegals. Big difference but still a problem.
I think voter fraud is a serious issue, but your analysis is seriously flawed.
82 of 385 registered illegals voted. Your analysis assumes that every illegal alien is registered. They are not.
That said, it would be interesting to know the actual numbers in even one blue state where registration is encouraged, or at least not discouraged.
Just another reason the electoral college is a great idea. No matter how corrupt CA elections become, they only have 55 electoral votes.
By the way, I wonder how many people are aware that every illegal alien and green card holding non-citizen is counted for the purpose of awarding electoral votes to a state?
This is a crime. I’m sure all have been arrested and readied for deportation.
Have they been arrested as yet? Seize their assets and throw these criminals out of the country.
What do they expect when they give Driver licenses to illegal aliens along with a voter registration card?
bkmk
That will have to wait until the federal worker hiring freeze is over. Not enough staff to investigate what is going on in California.
That’s, that’s just not possible! The media, ABCCBSNBCMSNBCCNN told me so. Whoevah can I believe now?
The Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) is required to verify an applicants legal presence in the United States.
The name displayed on U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) documents will be the name displayed on an individuals Ohio identification (ID) card or driver license.
Permanent Residents
Non-U.S. citizens who present a valid Permanent Resident Card (form I-551), commonly referred to as a green card, will be issued a regular Ohio driver license, which will expire in four years. All non-U.S. citizens who are permanent residents must present:
A valid green card
Social Security card, if assigned
Proof of Ohio residency
See the Acceptable Documents List for more information.
Unless the green card expires before their 16th birthday, foreign residents must have their green card replaced when they turn 14 years of age.
Where Do I Go?
For testing, visit any driver exam station in Ohio.
For issuance, visit any deputy registrar license agency in Ohio.
Ohio Revised Code: 4507.09
Ohio Administrative Code: 4501:1-1-37
“”385 people who are not citizens of the United States are registered to vote in Ohio””
Why aren’t they prosecuting the 385? Non-citizens registering to vote is a felony.
Possible prosecution? This is one of the most heinous nonviolent crimes imaginable. They should be prosecuted, given the maximum sentence, and then their home countries paid the cost of locking them up for the maximum time authorized under our laws. This crime has to be taken seriously in all 50 states (with FBI investigations in states like California).
What was the number of registered voters that they looked at? Was it all? I doubt it.
I find it odd that they discover the fraud, but NEVER state who the ballot was cast for...
If they catch the “Chad”, don’t they know who it was cast for? Wish they would start announcing it...
>Any non-citizens identified that remain on the rolls after being contacted twice will then be referred to law enforcement
Deport them now. Their deed was done. Take off the democrat kid gloves.
And I suppose you have hundreds of prosecutions that prove you know it happens, right? No, oh well guess this was the first year they voted.
