For some 15 years, airport security has become steadily more invasive. There are ever more checkpoints, ever more requests for documents as you make your way from the airport entrance to the airplane. Passengers adapt to the new changes as they come. But my latest flight to Mexico, originating in Atlanta, presented all passengers with something I had never seen before.
We had already been through boarding pass checks, passport checks, scanners, and pat downs. At the gate, each passenger had already had their tickets scanned and we were all walking on the jet bridge to board. Its at this point that most people assume that it is all done: finally we can enjoy some sense of normalcy.
This time was different. Halfway down the jetbridge, there was a new layer of security. Two US Marshals, heavily armed and dressed in dystopian-style black regalia, stood next to an upright machine with a glowing green eye. Every passenger, one by one, was told to step on a mat and look into the green scanner. It was scanning our eyes and matching that scan with the passport, which was also scanned (yet again). Like everyone else, I complied. What was my choice? I guess I could have turned back at the point, decline to take the flight I had paid for, but it would be unclear what would then happen. After standing there for perhaps 8 seconds, the machine gave the go signal and I boarded.

There is actually a soft lens that can be imprinted with another person’s retinal imprint. Anything that can be done can be hacked.
All this so called airport screening has yet to catch even one terrorist since 911. Its not about security its about controlling the US citizen population and slowly desensitizing us to more and more invasive activity. As you can read on this thread there are a lot of willing drones joining the hive.
Or you could choose to live in a country that actually lives up to it’s ideals. Ben Franklin warned us about people like you.
If they could read your retina signature while boarding with a camera and the process totally non intrusive caused zero delay would you be against that also?
If they’re actually hitting any DB, which they probably aren’t.
They haven’t caught anyone so they are doing a bad job or a good job? Which is it? Can you ever know?
We've been living like that for a long, long time.
Yep. Everybody wants their illusion of security, and they’re willing to give up everything for it.
RE: “Turning back the abuse of power which happened on Bush and Obama’s watches should be on Trump’s list of priorities.
According to the article, it seems that such abuses are going to intensify.”
*All is going according to Deep State NWO plan.
Gov’t uses unlimited resources to create and update detailed citizen dossiers on us using everything available from data brokers.
See thedatamap.org
Your IRIS / DNA / facial feature and fingerprints are the final pieces of data that assure you can be fully tracked, but also accused and punished of a crime without the ability to question a witness in your defense.
In our dystopic future, an oppressive gov’t regime will eliminate belligerents via false accusation of crime, guilt claim based solely on falsified biometric / virtual id authentication evidence, ie: physical (false DNA lab positive match) or virtual (IP / cell# claimed to be found on an audit log file).

Because fools keep saying it’s OK. Everybody that thinks something that might (but actually won’t) catch criminals enables government to do this.
I think most are against the inconvenience as opposed to the security measure itself.
I won’t comply. There’s no statute authorizing this.

What airport and what air line? This yob never says. Retinal scans are not eight seconds. This guy made up a story. Because there is no data bank with information in it there is nothing to compare to.
I’m 100% against ANY system that treats ALL people like criminals for the sake of maybe (but probably not) catching a couple of criminals. That system is no different than IDing for sudafed, it’s assuming I’m a criminal and gathering evidence for the sole purpose of prosecuting me later if they decide I crossed some imaginary line. Free societies have risk, man up.
Yeah, I don’t expect anything out of this at all. We had the proper systems and checks in place to stop the 9/11 hijackers before they could execute their plan, we just didn’t have the political fortitude to do it. Now, in typical American fashion, we’re “being proactive” with some magical technological solution that will cost a bundle and catch no one. Meanwhile, the decades-old established systems will continue to be ignored and terrorists and criminals will keep getting through.
The smart ones are against tyranny and treating all citizens like criminals they just don’t have enough evidence on yet.
Ok hero the terrorist thank you. Paranoia is treatable....
I don’t think US Marshals would be the ones doing this anyway.
I think the whole story is made up.
“The airlines should be allowed to implement whatever form of security they deem necessary and appropriate.”
Hah...I can see it now...
“Dear passenger, please insert your charge card in the slot, step forward and press your eye against the scanner...beep beep beep...step back and remove your charge card. A $25 charge has been placed on your card for the security eye scan. Thank you, you may now board the aircraft. Next!”
OK sheep, the tyrants thank you. The Founding Fathers put steps in place specifically to keep this from happening, it’s not paranoia to respect their vision, it’s bothering to read a history book.
