Perez beats Ellision 235-200 on 2nd ballot.
I know the CW around here was for Ellison, but Perez is a better choice if you're a Republican because the fired up portion of the Dems were for Ellison. This will de-inflate them and they will become less engaged.

I knew that when the South Bend mayor pulled out it was extortion forcing his moderate block to vote for Perez, El Creepo. Rigged for a Hillary redux in 2020, should she live so long. Don’t think that Labor is going to come back just because he’s DNC chair and the black voting block will get the shaft once again. Guess they are betting on a surge in Latinos. Btw, he’s no lady-killer, either.
Wht may have been “very bad” (i.e., Keith Ellison wins) becomes only “less bad”. Face it, NONE of the nominees for the DNC chair would do much to rescue the Democrats from their race to the bottom, as that is their natural habitat.
The Democrats have chosen not to make a total and unilateral move to the Islamic faction (a most favored minority at the moment, over even the Hispanic and Americans of African origin), but have responded to some very earnest pleadings for the less extreme elements.
So we get Joe Biden rather than Elizabeth Warren as the front runner for 2020.

Perez is quite a bit more intelligent if not diabolically intelligent and about 90% as flaming radical.
What Republicans should do is to grind on them incessantly Alinsky style because they failed to elect the first Black democrat DNC chair, something the RNC did years ago with what’s-his-name.
This is somewhat better news however we still have the case that a radical muslim lost in a fairly close election for the DNC chair by 235 - 200. This gives me ... pause.
