Former Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean slammed Senate Democratic Leader Charles Schumer (N.Y.) on Friday, predicting Schumer's endorsement will hurt Rep. Keith Ellison's (D-Minn.) bid for DNC chairman.
“I think Chuck Schumer’s endorsement is the kiss of death,” Dean said at an event supporting rival DNC candidate Pete Buttigieg, the current mayor of West Bend, Ind.
“Because I had to say no to Chuck Schumer when he demanded $5 million, because I said, ‘Chuck, you’re not getting it for the DSCC; I’m putting it into local races,” Dean added, referring to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.
As DNC chairman, Dean set forth a so-called “50-state strategy" widely credited with sweeping Democratic victories in Congress in 2006 and 2008.
Dean, a former Vermont governor who chaired the DNC from 2005-2009, endorsed Buttigieg on Wednesday in a race that has been led by Ellison and former Labor Secretary Tom Perez. Voting for DNC chairman is slated to take place Saturday. . .

Dean, who is supporting a more moderate candidate, is wishful thinking. He knows an endorsement from a Jewish senator can only help Muslim Ellison. Dean’s smarter than Schumer. He knows the real “kiss of death” will be to the 2020 prospects for Democrats if the DNC is led by a firebrand muhammadan.

Why is Dean given credit for 2006 and 2008?

IMO, Dean was totally responsible for the country getting the burden of Obama.
Obama should have been THOROUGHLY VETTED by the DNC—and Dean didn’t do that. Dean handed the entire country Obama & look what has happened........
