Oroville Dam Got No Obama Stimulus Funds For Repair In 2009.
IWB ^ | Pamela Williams

Although the Oroville Dam supplies drinking water to the entire State of California, no politician seemed to care…especially Obama. Almost 200,000 residents north of Sacramento were ordered to evacuate while authorities attempted to repair erosion of the dam’s emergency spillway, which would release “catastrophic” flood waters if it collapsed. We are talking “catastrophic” here! There is no public record of the dam, the tallest in the U.S., receiving any of the federal money from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, which was intended for repairs to infrastructure around the nation. Other projects that received money from the stimulus package were $2.2 million for sidewalks and $2.5 million for a 205-acre “zero net energy” community on the campus of University of California-Davis. That is Obama for you. What is “zero net energy” anyway?. The California Department of Water Resources denied that it had failed to listen to warnings about the dam’s safety. “We have a very rigorous schedule of inspections that is determined by state and federal regulators,” spokesman Eric See said. No one wants to take any responsibility for the Oroville Dam emergency…no one. But now California Gov. Jerry Brown asked for around $162 million for cleanup, but costs for repairs could hit $200 million. The people of California should be furious with the Liberals who looked the other way while Oroville was a ticking time bomb.

Where did the infrastructure money go anyways? A whole lot of the nation deteriorated and the press had no answers.

The only thing that got “stimulus” funds were signs announcing the repairs that never happened.

Much of the stimulus money was allocated to congressional districts which do not even exist

Never in the field of human endeavors have so few stolen so much from so many as the Obama Admin did

Most of the money went to bail out banks, who gave illegal Mexicans billions in housing loans they couldn’t pay. All to the end of legitimizing them as Dim voting citizens. Biggest boondoggle ever. Shovel ready, ha.

The 2009 stimulus was a transfer of wealth to women. The primary beneficiaries were education and health care. Male dominated activities -- like dam building -- were not included in the 2009 stimulus.

Politicians, water officials, the media, and others have been pushing the belief that the California drought was permanent and that lake levels would never again reach normal levels, let alone flood stage. Under that mindset, is it really a surprise that the state ignored maintenance of the dam?

Personally, I don’t want my tax dollars going to any state for infrastructure projects. That is a state issue. With the exception of the Federally maintained inter-state system, and a other sources of inter-state commerce as mandated by Constitutional authority.

Drinking water? No. That is a state issue. If any state can not meet their infrastructure demands then that state needs a house cleaning and a reprioritization of budget concerns.

There were NO Funds used for anything in California as far as I can see.

I WATCHED with my own 2 eyes as Public Employees put up thoise Recovery Act signs up on EVERY EXISTING AND PRE-PLANNED INFRASTRUCTURE CONSTRUCTION PROJECT in Southern California.

NONE OF IT WAS NEW, it was all pre-existing projects. So where did the Money really go??

Pamela Williams seems to be hacked at Obama but I doubt Obama had little to do
with what projects in any state got funded. I bet the selected projects were decided
by the state of CA government.

A lot of money was wasted on solar projects. At some point we need an accounting of where all that money went

Almost one trillion dollars — gone! And the corrupt MSM, along with the corrupt academia who study such topics, have absolutely no curiosity about where this money went. Some of these same people who still demand to see Trump’s tax returns have no interest in reporting on who pocketed all that taxpayer stimulus money.
