President Donald J. Trump in January signed an executive order to freeze immigration from 7 countries (identified by the Obama Administration itself in a 2011 order) from which ISIS fighters have snuck into Western countries disguised as refugees.
The left-wing immediately announced its violent opposition to Trump's reasonable, completely legal plan, launching a legal challenge, andf temporarily snarling the order in the courts.
But some companies publicly went against the new President, expressing their support for Muslim "refugees."
The most prominent company to do this was coffee giant Starbucks, whose CEO Howard Schultz, a strong Hillary Clinton supporter, announced plans to hire 10,000 refugees worldwide in response to Trump's order.
Well one month later, Starbucks may well regret that announcement. It's investors certainly will, according to a stunning new report.
That's because, according to the Google/YouGov Brand Index, consumer sentiment on Starbucks has plummeted by a stunning 67% since they announced their opposition to Trump.
According to YouGov this is a very large drop "normally associated with a scandal or health scare" such as the Chipotle Mexican Grill eColi scare a few years back.

Their stock price dropped after the announcement, but has since recovered.
Amen to that. I couldn’t believe how horrible that coffee was the first time one of our suppliers at work brought some in. All the cream and sugar in the world could not make it drinkable. One big cup of burnt.
Unfortunately I do not buy too much Starbucks. However, I will stop buying what little I do now.
bttt
It’s free at my job....I would never pay...but I do love the coffee.
They sell more milk than they do coffee, and their coffee is burnt.
“I will NEVER spend another dime on any of their products.”
I only buy coffee at Costco and when it is also on sale. They frequently run sales on Starbucks’ brand. I will not even buy Starbucks when they are the only coffee on sale.
They’ll never miss the money that I have never spent in Starbucks.
Went there once with a friend that paid for both of us.
It was awful.
However, if SB is doing this just out of spite to Trump, then I keep away. I have heard (though not confirmed) that the CEO has harassed people because of his support for gay marriage. Whatever he privately endorses is his own business. But when he invades boundaries, then I say, "Adios."
Starbucks is like a cigar was put out in it
I never understood the appeal of Starbucks. First off the name sounds like a name for a gay bar and just give me a cup of coffee dammit, I don’t need coffee with 20 billion different names.
Theyll never miss the money that I have never spent in Starbucks.
I think I bought a couple in my lifetime. Thought the store had a creepy atmosphere.
Wish I had read your post before submitting mine. I sort of brought up the same thing. SB needs to find more secularized types to fit in their culture.
“That’s because, according to the Google/YouGov Brand Index, consumer sentiment on Starbucks has plummeted by a stunning 67% since they announced their opposition to Trump.”
That may be true but Starbucks stock has not plummeted by a stunning 67%.
My little and I were going quite regularly...mostly after her piano class on Saturday. I haven’t gone since their announcement. I’m tired of being abused by all these people.
The former CEO said he did not want the business of people who did not support gay marriage. I gave him his wish.
Has anyone heard if they actually DID it? Hired refugees? I doubt it.
Keep up the boycotts. It is clear this one is working to great effect.
