Texas Sen. Ted Cruz anticipates another vacancy on the U.S. Supreme Court will arise in a matter of months.
“I think we’ll have another Supreme Court vacancy this summer,” Cruz said at the Conservative Political Action Conference Thursday. “If that happens, as much as the left is crazy now, they will go full Armageddon meltdown because the next vacancy is where we’ll have the ability to act and restore basic constitution protections.”
Though Cruz was not more specific, as a former law clerk to Chief Justice William Rehnquist, he enjoys access to a network of former clerks privy to the plans of their former bosses.
Rumors have abounded since fall 2016 that Justice Anthony Kennedy may seriously be mulling retirement.
The Trump administration has quietly encouraged Kennedy to retire in recent weeks, sending signals meant to coax him into leaving the bench.
Other rumors have suggested Justice Clarence Thomas is preparing to depart the bench. His wife, Ginni Thomas, has expressly disavowed such suggestions.

It has to be Ginsburg but I can see the real possibility that President Trump may be filling four vacancies over the next eight years. The SCOTUS will have a conservative super majority that may well last decades.
And I am sure that he is salivating at the opportunity.
I always thought that he would be in the running.
Don’t know own about that but, we get 1 more swing in the next fours years .

Gotta keep at electing local and state reps, so we control the initiative.

Kennedy is a HUGE deal. He killed Arizona’s SB1070 with a ridiculous ruling, and made it illegal to execute serial child rapists
Oh what fun this will lead to.
If he does nothing else in four years two Supreme Court picks will be enough. Can you imagine what we’d be going through if Hillary was President. Sometimes I get so angry at all the protesting but you know what.. we did that too, we did it with purpose and about issues, but that is how the Tea Party was formed. I pray they don’t organize as well as we did, but we all now that if nothing else, socialists can organize..
imagine Kennedy, and then Ginsburg has to retire all in a year. The CNN’s would have more crying on their channels
Replacing Kennedy with a clone of Scalia or Alito would be Yuge (a clone of Thomas is too much to wish for...).

I would look more toward Roberts. I am sure they have been told or are asking what Obama had on him and suggesting retirement instead of exposure.
We absolutely need to make sure to hold on to the majorities in the House and Senate...
We really need to get conservatives elected in 2018 to ensure laws will be observed and the Constitution will be followed....
Someone corrected me, Cruz comments would also fit Kennedy so not only the justices on the left.
Yep, liberals enjoy reminding me that the Tea Party protested 0bama on an almost daily basis . . . funny thing though, he could not tell me how many buildings were burned down or police cars smashed.

Scott Baio called in to the Trump program today, and he sounded just like a FReeper.
He was on for an extended period of time, and he was rock solid.
One thing he said about Trump was this. paraphrased: “You know, if Trump does nothing for eight years it would be a very big improvement.”
No Leftist agenda being implemented for that period of time, would be an improvement.
He of course voiced the opinion that Trump was going to do an awful lot to improve the situation across the board.
