'Nuts': Cruz tells Levin 4th Circuit decision to ban guns is insane By: Chris Pandolfo |

Appearing at CPAC 2017, Senator Ted Cruz, R-Texas (A, 97%) blasted a recent 4th Circuit Court decision upholding a Maryland “assault weapon” ban as “nuts.”

Speaking with Conservative Review Editor-in-Chief Mark Levin, the Texas senator discussed a broad range of topics including term limits on members of Congress, the nomination of Judge Gorsuch to the Supreme Court, and the rogue federal judiciary.

Cruz criticized the Fourth Circuit court decision limiting the individual’s Second Amendment right to own a firearm.

“The Fourth Circuit used to be the most conservative court in the country,” Cruz said. “The Fourth Circuit now, they’ve invented this new test for the Second Amendment.”

These issues and how a Hillary Clinton presidency would have impacted them, meant nothing to Ted last year. He couldn’t muster the clarity of mind to realize she had to be opposed vigorously.

SCOTUS appointments
federal judges
national debt
our military
our state department
foreign policy
allies
enemies
a seeming desire to start WWIII with Russia
islamic immigration from terrorist nations
jobs
gun rights
our borders
sanctuary cities
the national bathroom situation / cross gender issue
taxation
obamacare
race relations
the epa
coal mines
the canadian oil pipeline through the U.S.
massive deregulation efforts
the wall
removing illegal aliens
removing criminal illegal aliens asap

and on and on it goes, literally thousands if not tens of thousands of issues

None of this motivated Ted to hound Hillary’s every move to make sure she didn’t become president

none the less, you come here to give me a hard time, and defend Ted.

keep the crayons for yourself

It does make you wonder if some of the posters on these threads are new to politics.

That’s just primary talk. The Cruzers don’t even talk about it anymore.

Oh wait...

Whoa, cowboy . . . I merely presented it as a possible explanation in response to the incessant whining that Cruz’s endorsement of Trump came “late.”

I saw it. I read it about an hour ago.

Trump didn’t make the statement his dad helped Oswald carry out the attack, and the headline seemed to be framed to imply that.

Trump did say that Rafael was with Oswald just prior to the attack. He wasn’t with him the day of the assassination. He may have been with him in the time frame prior to the assassination.

I haven’t followed this story closely. The picture itself may have been debunked. Either way it wouldn’t surprise me. Oswald was a nut-job for Cuba. I’m not sure what Rafael’s beliefs would have been, but I would think he was probably not a big fan of the government there.

Impressive list. Let's take one, just for example: what you call "gun rights."

Cruz' record is clear on the subject, going back to his tenure as Texas AG. Did we have anything about Trump's record? Correct me if I'm wrong, but all we had was what Trump said (and now, his various Cabinet appointees who actually have a record on the subject themselves--which is positive).

I just have a little bit of trouble with folks who tell me that I should accept what a politician says on faith.

What did I mean by gun rights?

Man, you can’t even grasp the threat Hillary posed to our gun rights?

What am I talking to you for?

“The Fourth Circuit used to be the most conservative court in the country,” Cruz said.

Normal Americans have been saying things like this for 50 years.

Conservatism loses. Every time.

Please. Since you were unwilling to find it yourself (and, ahem, apparently you are seeing it for the first time), go ahead and parse it. I love semantics!

“His father was with Lee Harvey Oswald prior to Oswald's being — you know, shot. I mean, the whole thing is ridiculous,” Trump said Tuesday during a phone interview with Fox News. “What is this, right prior to his being shot, and nobody even brings it up. They don't even talk about that. That was reported, and nobody talks about it.”

“I mean, what was he doing — what was he doing with Lee Harvey Oswald shortly before the death? Before the shooting?” Trump continued. “It’s horrible.”

More precisely, you are talking past me. You are holding Cruz to account for not endorsing Trump quickly enough because of "gun rights," when at the time Cruz' record was clear and Trump's was not. I can't make it any more simple than that . . . if you do not understand I cannot help you.

Trump didn’t make the statement his dad helped Oswald carry out the attack,

******************

That is correct. I’ve read a lot of material over the past few years about Ted, his
mom and pop and I’m not going back to look it up.

Rafael was in New Orleans for a time and that is where he met Eleanor. From New Orleans
they moved to Canada and Ted was born. There is a photo that purportedly shows Cruz
and Oswald standing on a street in New Orleans. True or not I don’t know.

You are an idiot.

Trump addressed gun rights hundreds if times last year in front of 100s of thousands of people.

And you didn’t know it?

You didn’t know that Hillary would be worse on gun rights and are sticking to it?

This isn’t about Ted vs Trump. It’s about the general election and Ted refusing to go all in against Hillary!

Talking past you? It’s very difficult not to the way you feign ignorance.
