RIP
Alan Colmes was the “Washington Generals” @ Fox News.
It’s tough when you are always wrong.
On radio news this morning I heard cancer.
Once I wrote him an email, saying I thought Fox News should give him a pink slip in his pay envelope...
He wrote me back, WHAT DID I DO TO DESERVE THAT?
Wish I would have kept that...but was a long time ago...
sad when death takes one that age, but hope he made peace with Our Lord.
I’ll never forget his hysterically funny send up of Alec Baldwin’s nasty recorded phone message to his daughter Ireland. Colmes held the phone to his ear and responded as if Baldwin were talking to him. Laugh out loud funny. Great sense of humor. RIP
I am sorry you lost your friend.
I remember one time H&C had an African American guy on who disagreed with Sean, obviously. Don’t remember what it was about, but I do remember the African American guy calling Sean a racist. Alan broke in to DEFEND Sean and told the guy “Shame on you for calling Sean a racist”. Actually stopped watching H&C when it only became H; then I just keep hearing the same thing over and over.
Colmes being dead is one less.
I live across the river from Portlandia, and my freedom is being curtailed, hourly...
Colmes and the sub-human thugs he encouraged are responsible.
It did go downhill and you know why? No one for Hannity to beat up.
wayy back...I used to sort of have that same view of Michael Kinsley.
I loved him and Buchanan on Crossfire. Remember that? I thought they were really good, and rarely got too hot with each other.
I couldn’t stand the guy, thought he was a jerk, but condolences to the family.
Though I lost respect for Colmes when he made those snide remarks about Rick Santorum’s family upon the death of their infant child, I do wish him godspeed and give prayers for his family in this this most difficult time.
RIP, Alan Colmes.
100%
I too thought Colmes was one in another land but I am someone whom can listen, disagree and still respect if respect is shown back and Alan Comes did that. I will also say that H&C was a real juggernaut for the FOX NETWORK as they claimed FAIR & BALANCED. They used a format to have opposing views on the air and that is what put them on the map. RIP
Very sad, may he rest in peace.
The good news is, he lived long enough to see Donald J. Trump Elected POTUS and Sworn into Office.
Any indications as to the cause of death? If it was a “brief illness,” my bet would be something like liver or pancreatic cancer. My wife’s aunt died within 30 days of being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
