U.S. Rep. Adriano Espaillat (D-N.Y.) says he came to the United States illegally as a nine-year-old child, eventually returning to the Dominican Republic with his family to follow proper immigration procedures.
He is the first member of Congress to have once been an illegal alien, and he told CNN on Wednesday morning that he objects to the Trump administrations expanded immigration enforcement because it unleashes the hound dogs, expedites the removal of illegal aliens and fractures families.
He noted that many people come here illegally because they aspire for their children to eventually become Americans. [ ]
Espaillat said many of his constituents are afraid because they dont know how the new guidelines will affect them: People are afraid to go out during the daytime. Ive heard of folks who only go out at nighttime. And so there is concern, there is fear out there.

Cry havoc?
Precisely. Violating national boundaries without any due process and expecting a warm welcome is an unwarranted expectation. If one chooses to break the immigration laws of a country one must be willing to suffer the consequences of deportation when discovered.
I suppose then it must also be OK to also rob a bank after you come over to feed your family.
So he was able to go back home and return legally but these people being deported today cannot. Sounds racist time.
Elvis was singing about the US Federales?
You ain’t nothin’ but a Hound Dog! Deporting all the time.
Or Big Mama Thornton?
Bullsh*t. If this is true, why are they offended by the American flag, wave the Mexican flag and not want to learn American history. Sorry chief. That dog won't hunt.
... Isn’t this the same kind of fractured logic that would conclude that shoplifting should be made legal because ... even though he used to shoplift as a child ... He now purchases items legally?
Tough toenails.
If illegal aliens had not ignored our laws they would not be in the position of having top return home.
Return home they must, voluntarily or by force.
Make him pay the back taxes and penalties for the state and feds for the time he was here as an illegal.

Oh, well, it’s okay, then. I suppose it’s okay for me, then, to break into an upscale clothing store and steal their wares because I aspire for my children to be well-dressed.
Grab all the ones found outside after dark, they are probably illegal.
Solved it.
Actions have consequences.
You caught my cheatin’ habit.
You ain’t no friend of mine.
Many people rob banks illegally because they aspire for their children to eventually become millionaires. That doesn't make it okay.
Coming to the United States is a privilege, not a right.
So it is completely irrelevant why a person would want to come here, what matters is how the USA can benefit from it. Are they skilled? Can they support themselves? Will they add to our economy?
"Cry havoc, and unleash the hounds of law!"
