Kind of a strange metric "percent of murders", but a very conservative way to look at it. Even with the entire murder rate dropping pretty fast, the chance of being murdered with a rifles has dropped even faster.

Therefore, we can make a solid comparison on what gun violence looks like. Appreciate the article. I wish we could find a better term and not buy into their loaded terminology. Guns don't commit violence, people do. There are stats that tell us something about who those people are, but that is beyond the scope of your subject.
