A 69-year-old Queens woman suckerpunched in a random attack outside a deli last year has died.
Eve Gentillon never recovered from the brain injury she suffered when she was attacked back on October 15.
Upgraded charges are now expected against her accused attacker.
It happened on Sutphin Boulevard near 108th Avenue in Jamaica.
A man who police identify as Richard Springer came out of the deli and punched her in the head.
Gentillon hit her head on the ground and had to have a piece of her skull removed due to a brain injury.
Springer is also accused of assaulting a deli worker.
He was initially charged with assault and robbery for the attack.
Ah, no apostrophe.
This is just crazy. Why would the community shelter the perp? Apparently, no provocation for the crime.
he needs to be punched in the head until he dies.
He’ll continue to breathe and that’s a real shame. He should be executed.

Sympathies to the victim, but the first thing I thought when I read the headline was I’m pretty sure the Queen Elizabeth’s great-grandmother Mary died in the 1950’s....
We should work on Fake News headlines for the next time something like that happens:
Maybe: “Grandmother Interferes with ‘Commerce’ in Jamaica Neighborhood and pays Ultimate Price”
Certainly not law-abiding blacks' lives.

But my first reaction was, "Maybe NOW the authorities will do something about this insane "Knockout game."
It was probably more like “Crazy man on the loose”. Crazy people crimes seem to be on the rise.

He wasn’t crazy. He’s a career criminal who was pi$$ed about not being able to steal a beer, and the perp took his mad-on out on an elderly grandmother.
And the people sheltering that expletive-deleted should be locked up in adjoining cages.
