What a difference a few days makes.
If the bulk of the major media had been experiencing grief over the election of President Trump, it appears as though the White House press corps has reached the stage of acceptance.
Acceptance that Trump is the president, Sean Spicer is the White House press secretary, and thats the way it will be.
A truce, of sorts. And a largely amiable one at that.
It was just last Wednesday that the establishment press appeared to be in an all-out war with the White House.
When President Trump used a press conference to attack what he called fake news coming from some major news outlets, reporters complained bitterly and launched fiery exchanges with the commander in chief.
(Although, as WND reported, the president himself seemed more amused than aggravated, with Rush Limbaugh remarking, Folks, hes enjoying this like Ive never seen a president enjoy a press conference. Hes toying with these people.)
*snip*
Tuesdays was the first daily press briefing in a while, owing to the presidents travel to Florida and the federal holiday Monday.
Spicer began on a friendly and collegial note, saying he had missed the press, evoking a ripple of gentle laughter.
And that set the tone.
The daily White House briefings appear to have settled into a groove of a mostly cordial, calm and professional mutual respect.
Reporters and Spicer alike seemed relaxed and friendly, while always staying on point, pursuing their own agendas and topics of interest.

I noticed a palpable change in tone in yesterday's presser.
I think some in the hard-left media are beginning to catch on.
Oopsie. Post 2 was meant for youse guys.
I do wonder... if this has anything to do with the clearing out of the 7th floor...
Not surprised. Even they noticed the planned protests on Monday fell flat.
Stay on offense!
I thought the story was going to be about their switch from Flynn to calling Trump a anti-Semite
It is time to continue the attack charge the buggers and drive them back.
Yep, I have noticed the same thing.
Yes. I guess I am one of the few who thought Trump was too easy on the press last week.
Maybe appointing rove’s buddy made a difference. I am suspicious of letting rove into the WH
Make no mistake, the leftists never relent. They regroup and plot a new strategy. They are simply going to reframe their message of hatred for US citizens, especially, whites, like the President and his family. One must ponder if this visceral hatred for President Trump is coming from what the left claims to abhor, racism?
LOL, yeah. It was just poor timing when Senate Democrat Minority Leader Chuck Schumer predicted Tuesday that many Republican lawmakers will break from President Trump by June if he continues to push forward with his agenda. (Excerpt) Read more at washingtonexaminer.com ...
==================================================
His ill-timed off-the-wall comments indicates Sen Schumer is becoming unhinged. Pity the poor, poor man. He can't help it----he's a Democrat (sob).
Besides, anybody would go bonkers realizing their Democrat ex-president stabbed them in the back (sniffle).
Schumer went full-blown ballistic b/c Obama handed his famous state-of-the-art presidential election campaign apparat the data, the staff, the fundraising to his non-profit Organizing for Action -- NOT to the needy Democratic Party -- as a loyal party member would be expected to do.
More agonizing for Sen Schumer is the realization that eight years after Obama came into office, the Democratic Party is decimated at every level of government, mired in failure, thanks to Obama.
The only time Schumer feels good about himself is when he goes after Trump (sob).
Now call in the men w/ the white coats.
Yes, if they’re not as obnoxious as usual, that means they’re just busy plotting the next anti-Trump meme.
If crops reappear in Enemedia fields, it's time for more salt.
As long as we can hear the lamentations of their wymynz, we're good ;-)

I still think Spicer's first foray out as press secretary, that no "press conference" was to set the tone for no nonsense and better reporting. It was a winner!
Eggzackly.
I think the leftists finally realize that President Trump does not need them and will shut them out in a heartbeat if they don’t behave themselves
I particularly like how President Trump “upped the ante” with the Fake News media. While they were still squealing about being Fake News he now correctly identifies them as the enemy of the people. Again he bypassed them completely and went directly to the people.
