“Well, you’re the ONLY two parents who have EVER questioned this curriculum. We have NEVER had ANY complaints of this sort from ANY of our other parents...blah, blah, blah...”. Been there.

Oh well, looky here.

The parents, two concerned ladies, “raised a question.” How nice.

I wonder if they sat politely in their chairs, waiting with their hands raised to be called upon. Silently saying, “call me, call me.” And then were so excited when they called upon, so they could ask a question, then sit down politely and smile, knowing that they had done their job.

Pretty snarky reply. And how many times have you personally gone to address the school board? Your spouse? What have you done to stem the onslought of PC indoctrination...

From my own personal experience of talking to the school board on a regular basis, I heartily commend these women for having the courage to confront the school board...not an easy thing to do in this day and age of social media where it is so easy for strangers to post death threats etc.

Just because the article was written in a relatively passive way does not mean the women were passive. They raised questions...yet you put them down as if they were too polite, did not care? Seriously, they cared or they would not have been there speaking.

As to where were the Dads? Wimps?...Judge much? Perhaps they were working? Perhaps they were home with the children—because historically, moms generally know more of what is going on regarding school issues. Perhaps Dads will speak next week? Again, I know this from personal experience that Dads care as much as Moms even if they are not always on the front lines.

Amazing to me how 2 people can read the same article and come to such different conclusions :(

“Pretty snarky reply.”

Yep.

I homeschooled all my children.

And my children are homeschooling their children.

Good for you. I have no problem with people who home school nor do I with people who don’t or can’t.

However in your post, you are judgemental and critical of those courageous moms (and their husbands) who are willing to standup in public for their beliefs in front of a likely unwelcome Board, and you very snarkily implied they do not go far enough and called their husbands wimps for not attending.

At the same time you chose to remove yourself and your family from the problems of public schools which you did not, could not or would not fight against...Or maybe I should ask how many Board meetings have you attended at which you spoke regarding offensive curriculum and oppressive PC policies?

Perhaps since you home school, you feel you don’t need to stand up...How courageous of you, but society is going down the drain because

“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” Edmund Burke

I don’t have a problem with homeschooling—I have family who opted to do it—I understand the idea of sheltering my family from perils of the world...I just think it is sad that you would be so condescending and diminish the efforts of brave moms who are willing to fight the status quo, and in essence fight the fight you are not willing to fight.

Again, though I admire families who home school (and I would have if we had not moved to a top of the best district), that does not take away from my admiration for those moms for standing up to political correctness and standing for Constitutional guarantees.

You are wrong in this perception.

LOL you admit to a snarky reply...

With all due respect, if you wish to state my perception is wrong and you were not judgemental or critical, well fine. However, the dictionary definition of snarky and your response would indicate otherwise.

From Cambridge dictionary:

snarky

criticizing someone in an annoyed way and trying to hurt their feelings: There was some idiot at the back of the room making snarky comments.

Clearly your comments were not supportive and admiring of those brave moms and their husbands who made a stand against Islamic proselytizing of 7th graders. As I stated before, they are fighting the battle for not only you and your family, but for all of us since all have to function in this society and interact with non-believers and people educated in public schools...

“Clearly your comments were not supportive and admiring of those brave moms..”

Clearly you are wrong. And your attempts to requantify your comments confirm this.

Your comments are what they are.

Part of the Muslim Brotherhood’s plan to take over USA-proof that was presented in court - here’s a short video that explains it:

Here’s the same lady explaining 1400 yrs of Islam in 5 minutes (actually takes longer):

Here’s the same lady giving her testimony on surviving the civil war in Lebanon as a Christian. Toward the end she reads from some lesson plans regarding Islam. The part about the middle school lesson begins shortly after 30 min:
