Oh well, looky here.
The parents, two concerned ladies, raised a question. How nice.
I wonder if they sat politely in their chairs, waiting with their hands raised to be called upon. Silently saying, call me, call me. And then were so excited when they called upon, so they could ask a question, then sit down politely and smile, knowing that they had done their job.
*WIMPS* Where are the Fathers!
From my own personal experience of talking to the school board on a regular basis, I heartily commend these women for having the courage to confront the school board...not an easy thing to do in this day and age of social media where it is so easy for strangers to post death threats etc.
Just because the article was written in a relatively passive way does not mean the women were passive. They raised questions...yet you put them down as if they were too polite, did not care? Seriously, they cared or they would not have been there speaking.
As to where were the Dads? Wimps?...Judge much? Perhaps they were working? Perhaps they were home with the children—because historically, moms generally know more of what is going on regarding school issues. Perhaps Dads will speak next week? Again, I know this from personal experience that Dads care as much as Moms even if they are not always on the front lines.
Amazing to me how 2 people can read the same article and come to such different conclusions :(
“Pretty snarky reply.”
Yep.
I homeschooled all my children.
And my children are homeschooling their children.
