I don’t dismiss the emotion of this verdict, and if this was happening in the US, I’m not sure which side of the decision I would be on.
But, Azariyah arrived on the scene 11 minutes after the stabbing, well after the attacker was wounded and subdued on the ground after inflicting non-life threatening wounds on another Israeli soldier.
This does not sound like Azariyah acted in the “heat of battle” or felt his own life was threatened.
Am I missing something?
