When Jack Trapper opens his mouth it is ‘Hillary and Hussein bull s*** and lies’ and FAIRY TALES...CNN, SUCKS...THAT IS THE BEST I CAN SAY...(wink~wink).
I believe his family didn't want dragged through the mud, that the Democrats are doing to all Trump appointments, and he already more than likely has a job that pays him more that the one the POTUS offered...MONEY TALKS...AND I BELIEVE HE IS A POLITICAL PERSON...
NOW OTHERS CAN HAVE A CHANCE...I LIKE JOHN BOLTON AND LS RECOMMENDED McMasters...do a search, he seems good also.
Bannon and Miller are probably President Trump’s closest advisors and represent his thinking well. A potential NSA who thinks of them as “political interference” does not have Trump’s best interests and intentions at heart, this is someone who has a different agenda than Trump’s. Good to find that out now and not have him in that NSA role!
It’s sound to me like he wasn’t up for the job. It’s just as well he declined. We need somebody serious in the job, not just another figurehead.
So go figure
Sounds like we dodged a bullet here.
“Harward did not want former Fox News contributor K.T. McFarland to remain as his deputy, a request the White House denied. Harward was also concerned about political involvement in the National Security Council (NSC), specifically from White House chief strategist Stephen Bannon and senior adviser to the president Stephen Miller.”

Exactly. Why take a pay cut to set you and your family up as targets for the maggots in the “media”.
He also looks like a deer caught in the headlights, in his "formal" photo.
Whatever the reason for him declining the post, we're well rid of him.
No matter...whatever the real reason was, we absolutely DID "dodge a bullet".
