John Bolton, a former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations who has written for Newsmax Magazine, would be an excellent choice to replace Mike Flynn as President Donald Trump's national security adviser, Sen. Ted Cruz says.
"One person I think would be very, very strong is John Bolton. He's someone who understands the world, he understands the threats of radical Islamic terrorism," the Texas Republican told CNN's Manu Raju on Friday.

No way. Bolton is politically ambitious. He has his own PAC and endorses about every RINO in DC, including John McCain. Trump’s people have to know this. His appointment would certainly be proof that the Trump Administration feels it needs to suck up to Neocons out of weakness.

Cruz can try all he wants, but he will never be relevant again. He’s a liar, a cheat and a nut case.
As for Bolton, I think he certainly deserves consideration, but I believe that President Trump could find someone much better. If the President chooses Bolton, I’ll support his decision.

Cruz is doing a good job bashing dems and supporting Trump. I’d never vote him in a primary but as from as republicans go there are a lot worse.
I liked Bolton. Didn’t know he was so cozy with McCain and Graham, so I say emphatically NO Bolton!
Anything McCain/Graham are for We The People must completely prevent.
Yeah, maybe Steve Bannon, Steven Mnuchin, Gary Cohn or Anthony Scaramucci can show him when the nearest branch is. Come to think of it, there's enough GS guys in this administration that they could just open a branch in the West Wing.
