Maybe it’s not a coincidence that Barnum & Bailey is folding its tents this year. After all, how could the circus possibly compete with Donald Trump?

Amid feverish reports of chaos on his team and with Democrats fantasizing that Russia-gate is another Watergate, Trump took center stage to declare that reports of his demise are just more fake news.
Far from dead, he was positively exuberant. His performance at a marathon press conference was a must-see-tv spectacle as he mixed serious policy talk with stand-up comedy and took repeated pleasure in whacking his favorite pinata, the “dishonest media.”

Trump’s detractors immediately panned the show as madness, but they missed the method behind it and proved they still don’t understand his appeal. Facing his first crisis in the Oval Office, he was unbowed in demonstrating his bare-knuckled intention to fight back.
He did it his way. Certainly no other president, and few politicians at any level in any time, would dare put on a show like that.

Swamp wolf....
Remember the old stories of Francis Marion? He was an officer (I think maybe a general) during the Revolution in the swamps of the Carolinas. He was called the Swamp Fox and literally just annoyed the heck out of the British with his guerrilla warfare tactics. We might have a new Swamp Fox now. But I do like “Swamp Wolf” too.
The press doesn’t get Trump’s humor, and they don’t understand how it works. Most of what he says is tongue in cheek. But when he says things like “I’m going to build a wall”, we can take that literally. The press winds up believing the throwaway stuff like “McCain wasn’t a war hero if he was captured” (tongue in cheek) and they don’t believe when Trump says “just watch me” when doing something politically incorrect.
In honor of the Swamp Fox, I gave President Trump the handle, Swamp Wolf. A wolf fears no one and is at the top of the food chain. He will rule the swamp like no other.
The headlines tomorrow may not reflect it, but I think those present might have finally gotten a clue what/who they're up against.

I watched the whole thing on replay.
It was his most masterful performance ever.
The press would do well to take his advice toward fairness. They can whine all they want about the 1st amendment and Trump undermining the American people’s faith in their lies, but it will not stop him from continuing to call them out.
You could hear the frustration in their tone. They have collaborated with the enemies of the American people to bring this man down, they have thrown every stinkin’ thing they have at him, and he still gets to stand up there and excoriate them for being stupid liars.
A thinking man couldn’t ask for much more.
Once again, you’ve proven you are the best! Keep ‘em coming, please!

I've not felt this good about my President since Ronald Wilson Reagan. President Trump's performance tonight in a roomful of enemies was simply OUTSTANDING!

I am not so sure about that. I know several reluctant Trump voters(that all said in the beginning they would never vote for him) and all are happy he was elected and see him as a hard working man and think he does want what is best for this country and we the people. Every one of them is now against the media when they were not before.
They thought he was a bit much, with his tweeting and straight talk, wild promises- but now that he is working so hard to fulfill his promises and they now understand he must tweet to communicate in the face of dishonest media.
I agree that those people will be the toughest to keep happy and may find fault where hard core supporters won’t; but those I know are seeing things his way at this point.
AMERICA, under budget and ahead of schedule.

MSM has been so biased and in the tank for libs for so long I think most of them have no idea how to honestly research and report the news. A real journalist is as scarce as hen’s teeth these days and most simply copy what others write.
I am not sure they know how to do the job we expect them to do. It may take new media taking over as the old MSM goes broke. I would love to see someone with tons of money buy say CNN and make it a real news channel. Would be amazing and I bet their ratings would be high. Then it would be good watching to see what the others do in response.
