National Security Advisor Gen. Michael T. Flynn (ret.) — who resigned Monday — was the victim of a “hit job” launched by intelligence operatives, Obama government holdovers and former Obama national security officials, according to former intelligence officials who spoke with The Daily Caller News Foundation’s Investigative Group.

The talk within the tight-knit community of retired intelligence officers was that Flynn’s sacking was a result of intelligence insiders at the CIA, NSA and National Security Council using a sophisticated “disinformation campaign” to create a crisis atmosphere. The former intel officers say the tactics hurled against Flynn over the last few months were the type of high profile hard-ball accusations previously reserved for top figures in enemy states, not for White House officials.

“This was a hit job,” charged retired Col. James Williamson, a 32-year Special Forces veteran who coordinated his operations with the intelligence community.

Noting the Obama administration first tried to silence Flynn in 2014 when the former president fired him as director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, Williamson called Monday’s resignation, “stage Two of ‘Kill Mike Flynn.”

Former intelligence officials who understand spy craft say Flynn’s resignation had everything to do with a “disinformation campaign” and little to do with the December phone conversation he had with the Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak.

They charge officials from America’s top spy counsels leaked classified government intercepts of Flynn and President Trump’s conversations with world leaders and had “cutouts” — friendly civilians not associated with the agency — to distribute them to reporters in a coordinated fashion.

Sen Schumer is broken-hearted b/c Obama handed his famous state-of-the-art presidential election campaign apparat – the data, the staff, the fundraising – to his non-profit Organizing for Action -- NOT to the needy Democratic Party -- as a loyal party member would be expected to do.

More troubling for broken-hearted Sen Schumer is the realization that eight years after Obama came into office, the once-proud Democratic Party is decimated at every level of federal, state and local government.

Democrats are mired in failure, thanks to putting their trust in Obama.

It's disconcerting for guileless Democrats to observe that Obama seems to delight in destruction.....whether its going after Republicans....or failing to come to the aid of his own down-and-out party.

There’s a lot of ‘That’ in the article and a bit of ‘Why’ but not much ‘How’ except that they leaked classified information to friendly reporters. Which is hardly EXCLUSIVE.

I am a retired Army Officer. Trump MUST strike before the opposition can get more organized and come after another target. He MUST pull every security clearance of every Obama hire, from top to janitor. He MUST do that immediately and then tell them to be out of the building by the end of the week. If they are civil servants who threaten to sue, tell them to read up on PATCO and go right ahead and sue. If Trump drags his feet on this, if he is not decisive on this, they will destroy him as sure as anything. Do it Mr President!!! Do it NOW!!!

I believe with all the information coming out, Trump needs to get in front of the cameras, explain that he and Flynn have talked more, Flynn has used this experience as a learning experience and his is coming back into the administration. That would show the shadow traitors in the intell agencies they are not calling the shots, they will not bully this President and their days are severely numbered. Swallowing the problem that Flynn was not 100% truthful would pay big benefits and greatly strengthen the President immediately.

That's because Obama was all about Obama, and NOT the Democratic party; the party was a 'tool'.
The Democratic Party was merely 'a means to an end' of promoting Obama, and what his future vision of community organization for future opportunities of divisiveness.
Obama has already left the Democratic party divided, now to use those same tools to divide the Republicans and the new Trump administration.
The fact that on 1/4/17, the old computers were removed from the White House indicated to me that he removed US Government property,
which may have been relocated to the Obama new "shadow government" operations center.
Besides theft of government property, those same computers would show what Obama knew, and when he knew it, as well as any email he had with Clinton.
Those computers represent not only government property, but also the only known electronic links to clandestine operations and could be used as evidence of impropriety.
