President Trump plans to assign a New York billionaire to lead a broad review of American intelligence agencies, according to administration officials, an effort that members of the intelligence community fear could curtail their independence and reduce the flow of information that contradicts the presidents worldview.
The possible role for Stephen A. Feinberg, a co-founder of Cerberus Capital Management, has met fierce resistance among intelligence officials already on edge because of the criticism the intelligence community has received from Mr. Trump during the campaign and since he became president. On Wednesday, Mr. Trump blamed leaks from the intelligence community for the departure of Michael T. Flynn, his national security adviser, whose resignation he requested.
There has been no announcement of Mr. Feinbergs job, which would be based in the White House, but he recently told his companys shareholders that he is in discussions to join the Trump administration. He is a member of Mr. Trumps economic advisory council.
Mr. Feinberg, who has close ties to Stephen K. Bannon, Mr. Trumps chief strategist, and Jared Kushner, the presidents son-in-law, declined to comment on his possible position. The White House, which is still working out the details of the intelligence review, also would not comment.

McCarthy was right. Only people who were there know how much of the smear they did of him was true, but I suspect not much. They railroaded and sabotaged him, just like they’re trying to do to President Trump.
But THIS TIME AROUND, we have true news sources, and, I believe we have more prayer warriors. That may sound strange, since in the fifties, the majority of the country was considered Christian, and I may be wrong, but I don’t think so. Time is short, and though Christians were terrified at the prospect of communism, they were also lied to by news sources, such as Edward R. Murrow, which they believed, because they were considered absolutely scrupulous.
ONce again you have to dig to find the truth.
We have people like McCain and Graham “concerned” about Russian interference... you have CNN and MSNBC talking about this, ie Flynn talking to the Russians, a bigger scandal than Contra and Watergate...You have the various news outlet clamoring to report on it, and to embarrass Trump at his news conference by asking only about that....
BUT if we take a few steps back... we learn that 9 people orchestrated this disinfomation plan on Flynn and that it was authorized at the highest level, maybe even the former president.
So, my Dear Friends, what would you think is the bigger news story, Flynn getting fired or the idea that maybe Obama himself sabotaged the new president?
Amazing.
This is a good move, but it will take way too long for the immediate crisis. Trump needs to send his own people into each of the intelligence agencies and cut the heads off the snakes or they are going to set him up for a soft coup long before he can reorganize the agencies.
Not disputing the need for someone to go over the intelligence agencies, but what makes Feinberg the man for the job? Shouldn’t it be someone with experience in the field?
Thank you for your Service!
I know several military folks that have had candestiline dealings with the CIA in the sandbox. Not one of them has anything good to say about CIA officers. It is not an ego thing with them, they just have no respect for the CIA’s motives and techniques. In the movie 13 Hours the CIA station chief comes off as a douche. I believe that is typical for them.
>>Jared Kushner, the presidents son-in-law,
The Libtard who...

WE didn’t vote for Kushner - or Ivanka.
Give the kids a box of crayons and send them to Romperroom.
Don’t you love how the Slimes is all for a rogue Intelligence Agency under Trump! Lol.
Picking on you? Why, he has not yet begun to pick on you. Wait’ll the first time he stomps on your ribs and your eyes bug out of the socket. I hope I get to watch.
Yup, I fear we’re getting the full Ukraine/Egypt treatment.
Feinberg’s a master at eliminating redundancies while accentuating natural strengths, but most importantly disposing of the types that sabotage merger attempts.
The rotten ones will be trying to peddle their services in some banana republic when they get wind of this.
Maybe your department lived up to the public “legend” but at some point you gotta look into the Air America heroin extraction and transshipment from the Golden Triangle, which led to the Agency’s rip off of the Marseilles heroin mafia and on and on and... This data is out there in a hundred books and YouTube videos and web sites. Ever hear of the term “black budget”? Never mind all those mind control experiments brought to light in the 1970’s Church Commission investigations. How the ding dong hell would you know what other sections were up to? The whole point is to compartmentalize operations. In 1964 I supplied jungle wood samples to my Peace Corps supervisor, a request that came out of nowhere, not related to my job description or task assignment. A year later, I’m watching a docu on a pipeline that ran from the jungle over the Andes right through my zone of operation and sussed what those samples were for. The CIA greases the skids for Bechtel and Utah Construction and other US based globalist corporations to create infrastructure for raw materials extraction, period. Zero concern for internal development as a vehicle for autonomous self-development of raw materials by 3rd World countries. The CIA is a nasty business, always has been. Now FACTIONS within the intel community are sabotaging our President. I say put Langley under the control of the Pentagon.
Good. The intel agencies *need* to be cleaned up and have the leakers rooted out.
I do not understand how the leakers manage to keep their security clearances. It seems to me that they should fail the polygraph...which, at this point, should probably be ordered up for everyone who had access to the material that we now know was leaked.
There is the other disturbing little factor that they were spying on an American citizen. This is illegal.
Heads need to roll here.
Air America never ran heroin I don’t care how many books there are on the subject. Yeah there were mind control experiments, and there were some issues, and yes there was a bit to much of a cowboy attitude in the 60’s. But nothing like people purport in books. That is why I said Church did a bit of good while causing immense destruction.
The entire CIA budget is classified and, therefore, ‘black’.
It’s not like the movies where there are secret ‘sections’ and ‘factions’. Think about it - even at the section level where you have 30 case officers and assorted other staff - if some illegal order came down from the DCI what would happen? Half of those people would go have a chat with the IG or even their favorite Senator. Probably 50% of the US staff are Democrats and the other half Repubs and libertarians. Nothing too wacky one way or the other is going to go anywhere.
I cannot speak to 1964 but Peace Corp was completely off limits. So was using any kind of missionary organization or front. I’m pretty sure that was the case in 1964 also.
“The CIA greases the skids...” Sorry no.
“Factions”... Sorry no. There are no “factions”. There is Brennan and his direct staff sure - he was appointed by Obunghole. There are a few individual nutters. But even the nutters realize that they will fail their next poly if they do something illegal - and leaking is illegal.
All this stuff you believe, sir, just isn’t true. Most of the time working in the CIA is like working in the post office.
