If you say: “I could care less” that conceivably means you care a whole, whole lot about the topic under discussion.

If you say could NOT care less, there is no other meaning possible.

I'm 60 years old, and I grew up saying and hearing, "I could care less." I still say it sometimes, out of habit, even though I know it should be "I couldn't care less." I'm not sure when the correction started getting around, but I think maybe mid-90s with the widespread use of the internet and the grammar police. Those of us of a certain age know exactly what "I could care less" means.

It's sort of like "slim chance" and "fat chance" have the same meaning. It's all in how you say it. ;)

I agree that the alternative media is absolutely essential, but the NDAA act sets up a “ministry” of truth run out of the state department IIRC, so don’t be surprised if Chinese type censorship comes to the internet. That’s probably what Zuckerberg was working on when he met with Chinese.
