Today, February 14, is Valentine’s Day, the sacred day that intimate companions mark to celebrate their love and affection for one another. If you’re thinking about making a study of how couples celebrate this day, the Muslim world and the milieus of the radical Left are not the places you should be spending your time. Indeed, it’s pretty hard to outdo Islamists and “progressives” when it comes to the hatred of Valentine’s Day. And this hatred is precisely the territory on which the contemporary romance between the Left and Islamic Supremacism is formed.

Meh. I loved my wife but absolutely hated Valentine’s Day. Just a fake holiday designed to make me spend money on greeting cards and baubles nobody needs.
Hating Valentine’s Day is silly;

We’ve forgotten the origin of the holiday and have replaced that with a shallow interpretation, but the covenant of a Christian marriage is sacred, nothing silly about it.
That is because Marxists “HATE”. They group people at young ages to embed hate since immature children will always prefer the “Same”.
Maturity (true masculine and feminine maturity) will prefer the “Other” since it is the only way to fulfill their body’s design, God’s Design, which is to give birth to their own genetic offspring. Sex always was connected to meaning and tied to true marriage until the Marxists took over the culture in the 60s, to normalize fornication, adultery, killing one’s own babies, sodomizing others, etc.....to dehumanize (desacralize marriage and birth and motherhood-—make them worthless and vice “normal” so children will be emotionally destroyed and dehumanized).
To destroy civilization, Christianity has to be eliminated from the worldview of little children, so they can never “Love”. Common Core is to embed hate and nihilism in little children, and to make them “think” (pure brainwashing) that sodomy is a virtue, as well as killing ones own genetic offspring, so that they will NEVER be able to truly “Love” the other and never have common sense or logic or reason. Emotions will control them for life.
Malthusian, satanists (banksters) want the destruction of the human race-—and all to be slaves and worship satan. Our schools are training little satanists since they banned Jesus Christian in the 60s. It is intentional because without virtue, freedom is impossible. Vice creates slaves only.

I think I was in the seventh grade or so, and I was crazy over this girl named Julie in my class.
Bobby Sherman had that song “Julie Do You Love Me?” and I played it over and over thinking of the pretty girl in my class.
Well, Valentines Day came around and we had the traditional exchange of valentines. I remember we each had to make a box to receive valentines in. Most kids had a shoe box with a hole cut in the top. I had a refrigerator box.
I thought I was pretty popular.
I had the little kid valentines for the rest of the class, but I had bought Julie one of the grownup valentines. The big red Valentine with frills and stuff. I was sure she’d be impressed.
We opened up our valentines, and sure enough, Julie walked over to my desk holding my special Valentine. This was real romance!
She stood by my desk, AND TORE MY VALENTINE INTO LITTLE PIECES SAYING, “This is what I think of you and your Valentine.”
Most guys would have been heartbroken, but not me.
I kicked her in the shin.
Yeah. She wasn’t so smug hobbling back to her desk.
And you know how things change as people get older? It never did for me and Julie. I tripped her when she walked past me at graduation. She flipped me off.
I heard she married a VCR repairman and had twelve kids.
I still have the pieces of that Valentine in a bag and I look at them every Valentines Day and I think of Julie and I wish her the best. I really do. I wish her the best hemorrhoidectomy from the worst Doctor.
I’ve mellowed as I’ve gotten older.

Same thing. We got caught kissing during nap time in kindergarten. In 6th grade, she tore up my Valentine and threatened to beat me up after school. That’s bad news because she was an azz kicking machine. I hid until her family was transferred and I was saved from a beating.
40 years later, I see article about a local woman who teaches art or English at the university. Yep, it was her. We met at a bar with some friends. She was tiny. Religious Buddhist, noted artist, lesbian.
But we’ll always have nap time. ;)

Valentine’s Day is fine,but what I don’t like about it is the crass commercialization. Hallmark cards are a fine example of the legalized highway robbery. Candy at about $20/lb. is another good example.
