House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) says he wont open an investigation into President Trumps former national security adviser Michael Flynn, citing executive privilege.
But the committee will investigate who leaked the story that led to Flynns resignation and why Trump's national security adviser was being recorded, CNN reported Tuesday.

Flynn resigned late Monday night amid cascading controversy over a discussion he had before Trump took office with a Russian diplomat about President Obamas sanctions on the country.
The Washington Post first reported details of the conversation, which the New York Times said stemmed from a wire tap of the Russian diplomat.
ADVERTISEMENT Flynn initially denied the conversation took place, and Vice President Mike Pence vouched for him in a nationally televised interview.
But Flynn later said he could not recall whether hed discussed the sanctions before Trump took office.
Flynns conflicting story and Democratic uproar over his remarks to a foreign diplomat, which were not made in any official capacity, ultimately led to his resignation.
Democrats are demanding an investigation into the matter, which ties into their suspicions about the Trump administrations alleged close ties to Moscow.

A Rbulican senator on the intel committee is NOW SCREAMING for an IN DEPTH investigation!!! The senator is from Missouri we NEED to burn down this guy’s phone lines!!
“The eavesdropping happened in December, on Obama’s watch.”

Exactly. A sitting administration ordered it’s operatives to tap the phones of then candidate Trump.
Sounds familiar to me. Watergate.
Only Hillary is allowed not to remember things.
Kind of tough to get rid of them during the transition period, which is when the Flynn conversations happened. Flynn should have avoided even the appearance of impropriety until after the inauguration and he held official standing.
I hope investigations in congress and in-house by Pompeo and Comey are zero-tolerance on the leakers and they are removed, then blackballed from government service if not prosecuted and imprisoned.
So what’s the deal? I know the wiretap was WRONG but was what he did wrong?
I’m still hazy on the facts.
Pence asked him about details about the Russian conversation & Flynn dissembled, later said he forgot. This was big stuff. He lied, and if Pence can’t trust him, Trump can’t trust him.
“Trumps problem is that he left too many Obama cronies in place.”
A new President can fire all the political appointees he wants, but civil service employees are a totally different story - they can only be fired for cause, and now they have government unions too.
I believe the NSA was behind the majority of the wikileaks allegations about Hillary.
If you want to understand how the invisible government works read “The Secret Team” by Col. L. Fletcher Prouty.
Then see what happens.

He underestimates the degree of conspiracy which is not limited to intelligence, military and law enforcement.
First, you have to find out who the leakers are. Based on past experience, I doubt any congressional hearing is going to get to the bottom of that.
And he has a subordinate still in place that he continues to collude with.
I suspect the witch is at work here not her pet orc. That team of criminal thugs she pulled together with Sid to rape Libya.
Those leakers are easily determined with the standard security polygraph they all take in CIA and NSA — ALL THE TIME!! You don’t shoe up you are sent to Siberia!! SOMEBODY DO SOMETHING. The administration looks like it is stuck in a tar pit!!
Sally Yates ordered the wiretaps, IMO.
That said, I am nervous that there is a leak within the White House coming from an establishment Republican who was awarded a White House position to appease the establishment GOP.
Currently, my radar is pointing to Preibus.
