As Flynn Resigns, Priebus Future In Doubt As Trump Allies Circulate List of Alternate Chief of Staff
Brietbart ^ | 02/14/17 | MATTHEW BOYLE

After GOP establishment forces inside President Donald Trump’s White House forced out National Security Adviser retired Army Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, sources close to the president confirm to Breitbart News there is serious doubt as to whether this early administration shake-up will also see the exit of White House chief of staff Reince Priebus.

Specifically, multiple sources close to President Trump with internal knowledge of White House operations told Breitbart News on Monday night that the buck stops with Priebus when it comes to the botched rollout of the executive order temporarily banning most travel to the United States from seven nations with a history of exporting terrorism and temporarily halting the refugee program. This news comes of course in the wake of the news that Flynn was pushed out, but also as more and more reports of a likely shake-up at the top loom.

“Reince is responsible, ultimately, for the rollout of the immigration executive order,” one source said. “He failed to get [Attorney General Jeff] Sessions on the calendar in the Senate in time for what he knew would be a highly controversial executive order. He was supposed to be this wizard in dealing with congressional Republicans, but has not been successful in getting anything serious done.”

Priebus must go. He is a GOPe mole. The EO was a total botch and if they aren’t damn careful all immigration restrictions will be subject to the whims of hack judges.

Romney might be ‘borrowing’ Priebus to run his Senate campaign.

It is possible that the green card thing was a Bannon play.

I think Reince, buddy of Ryan, would have known better.

If he's taking those steps with regard to Israel, then he may not have anyone advising him. The position you described was exactly the position he took back in February 2016 during the Republican primaries. He only became "wishy-washy" after other GOP candidates crucified him for it, and his son-in-law ran around trying to mend fences with Jewish donors and special interest groups.

I haven't seen Jared Kushner's name in the news very much since that outlandish story that he had retained Jamie Gorelick as his attorney to deal with potential conflicts of interest in his role as a senior advisor to Trump.

I would be thrilled if that guy packed up his family and moved back to New York City.

Newt did the Contract w America that got conservatives Congress. He stopped BJ Clinton’s leftward surge dead on its tracks. He fights.

And he opened the door smack into his own face with the Government Shutdown, and we've been paying for it for twenty years. Literally.

He didn’t step down because of a phone call.
He stepped down because he lied to VP Pence about it.

**************

Agree. Flynn probably could have survived the phone call incident, but not lying to the VP. This made him both untrustworthy and disrespectful. He had to go.

Right now, unfortunately, with Oroville, would be the best time for a massive shake-up. I’m assuming they’ve IDd the leaker(s). Do it now, do it big. And figure out a way to get rid of McConnell at the same time, no matter what it takes.

To this day I still don’t understand why Trump put Prebius as COS. I felt it would be a huge mistake. Prebius is a GOPE insider which means he is friendly to Democrats.

Trump should have put Gingrich in that roll.

How does balancing a Congressional budget 20 years ago make Newt Gingrich more qualified to be White House Chief of Staff?
