This is a great strategy—persuade your customers to go on-line to shop in other stores. :-(
These clowns are diving over a cliff—but feeling good about themselves while they do it!
That is easy for them to do since they’re going out of freaking business
Direct outlet model. The twitter of retail.
Oh yeah! That’ll really help these two dying companies... See ya, chumps.
(I must say that really do like Craftsman tools, though. Hopefully Home Depot will pick them up.)
Time to cut up your Sears and Kmart cards, both are headed to the list of “out of business”.
When all is said and done, I wonder whether Eddie Lampert will be happy with, or regret his Sears/K-Mart takeover. Sure, the price has dropped, but it was always more of a real estate play than a merchandising play. I seem to have read that they have been dumping customers as well, for some time now...
Grandpa was a frugal man. In the outhouse, a corn cob hung by a string.
Sears sold Craftman to Stanley Black & Decker in January
Business suicide from a retailer on the last minutes of life support.

We had 2 K mart’s both are now closed, Sears not far behind.
Americans join together in dropping Sears, Kmart.
My house is a Sears catalog house from 1926. It is the Verona model, a 2 1/2 story colonial. The Sears houses came by rail and you assembled them yourself. All hardwood floors and oak trim, cove ceilings.
Back in the days, Sears was as American as apple pie. I’ll have nothing to do with them now.
