What is the big point of concern if those actually are bubbles, that the erosion has undermined the concrete lip of the spillway? It would be an odd leak if air is getting through past the pressure of the water rushing out. I’d tend to think bubbles were related to the power plant being offline, the intake(s) are within the dam itself.

Maggief, is that pic at the beginning of when they appear?

Being that they are there for about ten seconds, it looks like a reflection as the aircraft/chopper is turning.

Water bubbles would run longer I would think.

Thanks, maggie, for the huge photo.

I also watched the video again.

There’s no other glinting on the water from sunlight.

Could these be reflections from helicopter?

That image is from a news report posted yesterday, 2/13. If it were a serious issue, I think it would have grown into something more significant by now.

Keeping in mind that I’m not an expert on such things.
