The Washington Post, speaking for the Opposition Party consisting of the Democrats and mainstream media, on February 9, 2017, blared the headline: "White House says Conway has been 'counseled' after touting Ivanka Trump's products"
As usual, there is always a Republican ready, willing, and able to attack the Trump administration and help the Democrats. Jason Chaffetz, congressman from Utah, who was a NeverTrump, stepped up to say Conway's statement was "clearly over the line" and "unacceptable."
The facts are simple. Nordstrom canceled the line of clothing of Ivanka Trump. The cancelation and timing are suspicious, given the uproar by the usual suspects about Trump's temporary ban on immigration from seven countries. So Conway said on TV, "I'm going to give it a free commercial here. Go buy it today."
It was an innocent remark said on the spur of the moment in answer to a question. But the D.C. crowd considers this a violation of the ethics regulations that prohibit federal employees from "endorsing" products. There is no charge that Conway endorsed a product for financial gain.
The Opposition Party considers the Conway statement a major ethics violation. The Opposition Party considers the Conway statement much more serious than:
1) Hillary Clinton selling access to the State Department;
2) using State Department to line up speaking fees for her husband Bill at about $500,000 per gig;
3) Attorney General Lynch meeting with Bill Clinton the day before Hillary was questioned by the FBI and Director Comey's decision to not recommend prosecution;
4) using a private email server in violation of government regulations that left the email system subject to hacking by foreign hostile actors; and
5) Hillary's friend, Terry McAuliffe, giving over $700,000 to the political campaign of the FBI chief investigating Hillary. These are only the major examples.

But it is not a major ethics violation to extort action from a President by threatening his family’s private interests? Actually, that is a felony.
Conway’s remark was an innocent remark. The left is nuts.
The fake outrage by the fake media and their Dem friends is laughable, laughable. Meaning people are laughing at this, that doesn’t get votes.
But Obama could command that everyone must buy health insurance, and that was approved by the Supreme Court. It’s this oppression of one half of America that we Deplorables are sick of.
This is how they are going to be.
Delay. Obfuscate. “Party of No”.

Better get used to it. None of it matters unless you let it get to you.

Perfectly understandable, since many Democrat females best choice of a fashion statement is wearing a Hefty bag.
Ivanka is and will get many millions of dollars of free publicity from the rats making a big deal of this. Trump wins again.
If I were the administration, I’d privately tell the Democrats that every horsesh!t move like this will just end up being an additional charge on which to CONVICT Hillary Clinton and imprison her.
I’ve long since abandoned any respect for the GOP in Congress but I’m seriously starting to despise them even more than I do the democrats. The democrats are at least faithful to what they see as their constituency. The GOP has never been. NEVER!
Let them huff and puff, and Mrs. Conway can simply make future references in the subjunctive mood (e.g. “I wouldn’t be surprised if many decided to buy Ivanka’s line of clothing in light of the treatment she is getting.”)
She can play the game easily enough if she cares to.
I tried to find where I could get something in the Ivanka line....when I heard the media knock Ivanka over and over. Kelly’s blip was much later and with no effect on my searching.
This is supposed to be “reporting,” right ... and yet the site (or the author) telegraphs the RightThink in the headline. It was “an innocent remark.”

I mentally insert this phrase into the beginning of everything I read that emanates from the demoncats and their chosen pet republicans. Fake news. F'em. Go Trump.
