BALTIMORE In an escalation of Democratic efforts to highlight questions about President Trumps potential conflicts of interest and alleged ties to Russia, a senior House Democrat is dusting off a little-used legislative tool to force a committee debate or floor vote on the issue.
Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) filed a resolution of inquiry Thursday, a relatively obscure parliamentary tactic used to force presidents and executive-branch agencies to share records with Congress. Under House practice, such a resolution must be debated and acted upon in committee or else it can be discharged to the House floor for consideration.

These people don't give up, do they?
"This President has monetized the office in an embarrassingly obvious way. Shame on him and his greedy family."
The MORE venom the Left spews, the MORE I know that President Trump was the PRECISELY right man for the job as POTUS.
This obese prick should take a long walk off a short pier.
The president can withdraw funding to all local governments and agencies in Jerrold Nadler’s district and cancel all federal government contracts with companies that have offices in Nadler’s district.
Delusion runs deep on The Left
Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.), a senior House Democrat an communist supporter ...
Trump should have the FBI and NSA investigate Nadler. I bet he’s as dirty as Corzine.
The Presdent has made it clear that he will adopt a take-no-prisoners attitude to this kind of political weaseling.
The end result of Nader's hapless action is announced at the very end of this Compost article: Should the resolution come to the floor, Republicans would likely move to table it [dead].
But the Dems will push on with a relentless onslaught of political mosquito bites--and President Trump will respond by opening up a
“These people don’t give up, do they?”
Why should they?
Maybe people on the right can learn what the hell political war actually is.
Well we’ve just had partial coup perpetrated by the 9th. The court is obviously going to be constant weapon used to destroy Trumps ability to govern. We better hope the new SC Justice is not a Trojan Horse and from what I’ve read the last couple of days he may well be.
Actually, they gave up sanity years ago.
Trump says he doesn’t have ties, so let them do it. If there are no ties there, they will look stupid.
I doubt there is a greater conflict of interest anywhere in the US government than the conflict of congressmen and senators taking campaign and PAC contributions from the very corporations they are charged with regulating.
But, of course, that has all been legalized. Legalized bribery.
And as has been learned over the years, the big businesses actually write most legislation that impacts them and their bought and paid for congressmen and senators just vote on it.
And we should pay for this crap? It’s the old Dem meme that the seriousness of the allegations are all that matters and then they can go rooting around for evidence of a crime, whereas if a Dem commits an obvious crime like Hillary Clinton having her own unsecure server and conducting national security business on it, it’s just an error in judgement no investigation necessary. We should not give one fraction of an inch and fight back with overwhelming force. Trump has to push the weak kneed Republican leadership to punish the districts of people like Nadler.
If he were a trojan horse the Dems and Rinos wouldn’t be trying to derail him.
We can see this is war, and I hope the Trump people see this too. All bets are off and the gloves are coming off
Maybe people on the right can learn what the hell political war actually is.
Too bad the Republicans were to afraid of BO to stand up to him like the dems do. Can you imagine if Trump refused to show his birth certificate for 2 years.
How about we investigate the Democrat traitor whore house ties of all the dictators of the world and their opposition to tariffs and a border wall?
