I agree. It was a fun read.
I agree. Hopefully this is all just character development mumbo, and we’ll get to the story soon enough.
The problem with Designated Survivor was that it never got to the story.
The burning question: In which episode will Kim Bauer get kidnapped?

The old 24 was exhausting to watch. Of course, that was because of Jack.
In this new series, so far, I have not found great interest in any of the characters. Black Jack has not captured my interest. And the plots have been so so — Black Jack, former CTU director, her tech crony, all turn rogue in the first episode?
I will continue to watch, at least for a while. I tend to ignore the social justice stuff in entertainment, until it becomes too thick to stomach.
Half the fun of the freeper 24 thread is calling the producers out on the loaded-on PC crap.
Unless one is versed in the history of 24, it is easy to miss the brief moment when she introduced herself as the cousin of CTU analyst Edgar Stiles from seasons 4 and 5.

I haven’t watched any of the new one yet, but might try to find the first two episodes online to see if they’re worth it.
If it continues to veer away from the PC crud, I might enjoy it after all. Most TV shows just end up making me mad! LOL!
*snork* 😂
I decided not to watch ANY of the blackwashed affirmative action, diversified Jack Bauer ripoff.
“There are a lot of British-made shows on Netflix that have grownup actors and stories.”
I’m not worried. There’s an endless amount of Korean dramas to watch :-)

If there’s a “jump the shark” moment for 24, it’s the moment they killed Edgar. Stupid, stupid, stupid, move.
The new "Chloe" is probably the girl they introduced as Edgar Stiles' cousin, who taught her everything he knows.

I skipped it. I have been binge watching Prison Break because it’s coming back on. It’s been so long seen I watched it I needed to watch it again. lol
“Theres an endless amount of Korean dramas to watch”
Are they on Netflix or one of the streaming services? Are they in English?
Just finished watching "Legend of the Blue Sea". I'm now watching "Goblin: The Lonely and Great God"
But my favorite all-time KDrama is "Masters Sun".
There are two primary websites for KDramas: dramafever.com and viki.com. You can watch episodes for free with commercials, or pay a few bucks a month to watch them commercial free. And as you said, there are so many to choose from.
Makes me want to drive up to Valencia and look at the Hole left by the Jihadist Atomic Bomb.
That was the ultimate Shark jumping moment ever.
Completely untrue. Season 4 was pure jihad from start to finish, which is why CAIR was so up in arms over it

Exactly right!
Bad enough the actors are horrible. But then to portray a White Army Ranger hero willing to sellout his country to terrorists for cash, and the Black hero saying he'll get arrested just for "walking while Black"...and then he does! With a racist old White cop to boot! Disgusting. Manny Coto is a piece of crap. I'll never watch another minute.
Apparently, the books are really good. The first season was apparently only part of the first book. I haven’t read them, but got them as a Christmas present to my second wife.
The second season just started on SyFy.
It utterly sucked you in and wouldn't let go. A truly unique TV experience that will never be duplicated. They couldn't keep it going forever. But they got 5 solid seasons with the formula. I also think Season 8 with Jack and Renee Walker was riveting.
