Curt Schilling Slams Liz Warren: Senator ‘Lieawatha’ Represents ‘Everything We Hate About Politics’

Former baseball star Curt Schilling is reportedly planning to run for Senate in Massachusetts against incumbent Elizabeth Warren, and he’s wasting no time attacking his would-be opponent.

Warren, a favorite politician among the liberal activists, represents “everything we hate about politics,” the former Red Sox pitcher said during an radio interview on the Larry O’Connor show. Schilling thinks he could be successful against Warren because of the “disconnect” between the politics of average voters in Massachusetts and the senator’s left-wing beliefs.

“As I talk about potentially running for Senate and running against ‘Lieawatha,’ I’ve talked about the fact that the population in this state does not match the politics,” Schilling said. “There is no way that the fishermen on Cape Cod are Elizabeth Warren fans.”

...

Even before he expressed an interest in running for political office, Schilling had a reputation for making controversial political statements. Schilling was fired from his position as an ESPN baseball analyst after posting a Facebook meme mocking the opponents of North Carolina’s controversial “bathroom bill.”

I’d say he’s going to run.

I love the name Lieawatha. It sort of got replaced by Fauxcohantas, which is a good one, but not as good, in my opinion, as Lieawatha. Lieawatha is the best.

True. The word “Faux” isn’t as common as “lie”.

I’d say he’s going to run.

He might, but there are probably better candidates, currently in early stages of running.

The woman is clinically insane.

Hysterics has no place in politics.
And this thing actually believes she could, in any real universe, claim to be presidential material.

Imagine the insane harridan as president...
I sincerely hope that she has access to a good therapist.

None with his name recognition as a former Red Sox.

Maybe he's planning to be the "jack rabbit" candidate in the Republican primaries. Gin up the masses, then step aside for a real candidate.

Sorta like Donald Trump's candidacy in the 2016 election cycle.

I hope not. Curt Schilling should have run in place of Scott Brown who won, as Shilling I believe would have done even better in the vote,at that time, and might have won the next election that Scott Brown lost.

Shilling was well know then, and highly respected in Mass. and Scott Brown was an obscure unknown state senator.

Now, because of Schillings big financial losses, his heart attack, and his selling of his sports memorabilia, including his famous "Bloody sock"to stay economically afloat and the many people who bash his business deals that hurt them, I think Shillings opportunity for politics has passed in this overwhelmingly socialist , communist State of Massachusetts.

Schilling is an outspoken Trump Supporter and Trump got trounced by Hillary in this state.

Schilling might get the Republican nomination, but in the General election a real Republican can get trounced by just about any socialist.
That's why we have a RINO Governor, Charlie Baker who wouldn't dare support Donald Trump for President. -Tom

The character assassination of Cruz and Sessions in committee hearings was so bad it can’t be walked back. Elizabeth Warren was just as vile last night when she was cut off. What’s my point? Curt Shilling just might have a chance against the *itch.
