Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) accused Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) of breaking the Senate’s rules with a blistering floor speech against Sen. Jeff Sessions’s attorney general nomination.
The Senate’s top Republican interrupted Warren’s speech to argue that she was violating the upper chamber’s rules, despite an initial warning by GOP Sen. Steve Daines (R-Mont.), who was presiding over the Senate.

Sen. Crapo objected to the request by Sen. Reed to enter into the record the letter Warren was reading in.

Rubio asks if Rule 19 says “directly or indirectly”—it does, in order to enter it into the record.
Now Dems questioning scenarios concerning Rule 19.

Notice Warren does not quote Sessions’ ostensibly “racist” statements from 30 years ago.
She quotes Ted Kennedy’s and Coretta King’s statements in which they accused him -—30 years ago-—of being a racist.

Include hearsay and innuendo, but leave out supporting evidence or facts —because there are none, or worse, the facts might contradict the smear.
They still need sessions in the senate to get the rest of the noms through.

Dems leading more than 24 months before a contested Presidential election, often even in the Primary, do not get elected in the General, and often are not even nominated!

IF it was established FACT that a Senator was a horse thief, that is something that could be discussed.
What Warren did was read an OPINION of others 30 years which was UNSUBSTANTIATED.
He thought he won a Supreme Court case—he made himself look even more foolish as usual.
Rubio up now. Rubio says neither Clinton nor Kerry ever had anything on their past brought up on the record.
Rubio on fire. He’s doing great.
It's easy to imagine the Democrats of three decades ago having a stern private talk with the Warrens and the Frankens among them. No longer.
