l Franken isnt a punch line in the Senate anymore. Hes emerged as one of the Democrats most aggressive and effective questioners of President Trumps Cabinet nominees. Hes generated numerous made-for-TV clips as one of the few Democrats willing to go full-bore against his partys top targetsJeff Sessions, Tom Price, and Betsy DeVos. Hes finally showing some personality in the Senate, punctuated by his laugh-out-loud exchange with Energy Secretary-designate Rick Perry. And hell be one of nine Democrats on the Judiciary Committee questioning Trumps Supreme Court nominee, Neil Gorsuch. This is Al Frankens moment in the spotlight, and if he chooses, he could parlay his good fortune into a bid for the presidency in 2020.
“...can’t even remember the last time or if we ever had 8 years of one president and then 8 years of the former president’s VP serving as president.”
It has never happened. America is a centrist nation. Voters don’t like lurches to the left or to the right.
She is the one who was challenging the election results until the democrats made her stop because she was exposing more fraudulent votes for HilLIARy than for Trump.
I was wondering how long it would take for “that” picture to show up. 16
We need to recall the EXTREMELY low bar they set with the nomination of Hillary this last round. Lying-criminal-under-FBI-investigation flew...why not Al Franken? And the Detestable Media would go all-in to make him look reasonable and maybe even (choke) smart.
Right- They’re NOT scraping the bottom of the barrel. They lifted the barrel and they’re digging underneath!!
Al Franken is to comedy what Jeffrey Dahmer was to fine dining.
"The worst presidential candidate from Minnesota."
I think that with proper, 24-hour-a-day supervision, and some red paint, that Al Franken could possibly hope to be a somewhat adequate barber pole.
Or Franklin/Lieawatha!
We have elected two of our great presidents from the entertainment industry . . . it is only right that the Dems place their future hope on a comedian best known for wearing Pampers and holding a big stuffed bear.
As a younger Bernie, he has a snowball’s chance in Minnesota.
lol
Al Franken is a Big Fat Idiot.
Democrat dream ticket - Al Franken/Jill Stein. Franken/Stein 2020!
Not so fast. Eddie Murphy was a terrific congressman*
(* -using liberal logic that acting as one in a Hollywood film or on television qualifies you in real life.)
Where in the Constitution does it say nominees must sit through hours of being slandered?
Against Franken Trump would win a second term in a landslide. I’m not too sure Franken would even win in Minnesota.
