A Hells Kitchen Airbnb host is drawing the wrong kind of guests hookers, drug users and even porn film producers, according to a new lawsuit by the landlord.
The owner of 401 W. 45th St. has filed an emergency suit in Manhattan Supreme Court seeking to block tenant Thomas Tartaglia from subletting his $3,850-a-month studio through Airbnb and other sites.

Is NYC tenent laws this insane that these people were not arrested for breaking and entering?
Tartaglias unauthorized guests broke into a vacant apartment and threatened a real estate agent who was showing the unit to a potential tenant, according to court papers.
The landlord called the cops but by the time they arrived the hoodlums had already installed a second lock.

This is why clauses specifically forbidding any Airbnb type arrangements are pretty much industry standard for rental leases now.
