"Many members of the mainstream media have unquestioningly adopted the new Google meaning without explaining why, leaving their audience with the impression that speech or advocacy contrary to liberal orthodoxy is fascistic when, by definition, it is not."

By blindly adopting this new definition, media has been successful in accomplishing two things:

1.) Making conservatives out to be the "nazis" and the "fascists" and therfor;

2.) The true nazis and fascists of the left are completely justified in committing acts of extreme violence and physical assualt to prevent conservatives from excersizing their constitutionally protected right to free assembly and speech.

The legacy media and the political left in the USA are not interested in open debate or the free exchange of ideas. They demand total compliance to their ideology, and are more than willing to force that compliance by whatever means they see fit.

FDR’s New Deal was based on Italian Fascism.

“Don’t they know it was FDR who barred the Jews? Don’t they know FDR was not a Nazi, but the President who fought the Nazis?”

Today’s lib kids do not celebrate FDR.

I’ve seen more books about the Japanese interment popping up at the bookstores than ever before. This is something that rarely got mentioned 10 years ago.

FDR is being “de-personed”. Looks like the left is looking to make a clean break.

And if you use the original definition liberals aren't liberal either.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around the anarchists whose demands always revolve around more government powers and programs.

I don't celebrate FDR either, but I know he was acting in the interests of his country when he interned some of the Japanese and barred some of the Jews.

Today's leftist youth have been brainwashed into thinking that anyone - even an old ultra-liberal President - who acts to defend this country is evil.

Just as Trump is evil because he barred some Muslims in the interests of this country.

Fascism is defined as national socialism - I.e. Socialism within one nation .

Communism is defined as socialism across multiple nations .

It’s the Clintons, Obama’s and the like who are closest to BOTH of these definitions

Not that surprising. The most voracious wolves are indistinguishable from sheep. They have a long history of censorship. I just don’t get why? Destroying America won’t eradicate Biblical Christianity, so what drives them? It can’t be will to power, they lack no power, save one, power over the grave. I simply don’t get the sheer lunacy behind the global power brokers.

I’ve often used www.dictionary.com when I want a definition in a hurry. For the record, here is their definition of ‘fascist’ which sounds to be pretty much in lockstep with google....

1. a person who believes in or sympathizes with fascism.

2. (often initial capital letter) a member of a fascist movement or party.

3. a person who is dictatorial or has extreme right-wing views.

Word Origin and History for fas-cist

1921, from Italian partito nazionale fascista, the anti-communist political movement organized 1919 under Benito Mussolini (1883-1945); from Italian fascio “group, association,” literally “bundle” (see fasces ).

With fascism, originally used in English in its Italian form, as an Italian word. [Fowler: “Whether this full anglicization of the words is worth while cannot be decided till we know whether the things are to be temporary or permanent in England” — probably an addition to the 1930 reprint, retained in 1944 U.S. edition.] Fasci “groups of men organized for political purposes” had been a feature of Sicily since c.1895, and the 20c. totalitatrian sense probably came directly from this, but influenced by the Roman fasces, which became the party symbol.

Go check out the definition of “fascism” on the Merriam-Webster site.

Go read the expanded definitions for English Learners and the definition for Kids. (Bottom of the Merriam-Webster page.)

Time to purchase hard copy books.

The digital sources cannot be trusted.

Don’t tell Google or Wikipedia, but the original, Roman definition (fasces) representing strength by association is still out there, even on its Wikipedia page.

As seems usual now, coopted my nationalist socialists in opposition to globalist socialists and since misrepresented as ‘right’ vs. communist ‘left.’

Even though they’ve been called on it a google (pun intended) times, they’ve now completed the Orwellian inversion by extending the lie to the very people combatting socialist central control.

That was The Red Queen who said that , wasn’t it? Alice said’ Thats silly. No one can believe in impossible things.’’ “I dare say you haven’t tried replied The Red Queen. “Why when I was your age I could believe in six impossible things before breakfast’’. Liberals believe in lots of impossible things- like free health care for example.
