Donald Trump's press secretary get Aussie Prime Minister's name wrong TWICE 2/03/2017
Watch Donald Trump's press secretary get Aussie Prime Minister's name wrong TWICE in hilarious fashion Sean Spicer couldn't quite get Malcolm Turnbull's name out properly during a briefing over his phone call row with Trump. Not to mention the mass protests in cities across America as his controversial policies continue to divide the nation.
But Spicer found himself stumbling on the most basic of details during Thursday's press conference at the White House; the name of the Australian Prime Minister.
In his eagerness to emphasise Trump's anger at the 'dumb deal' struck by his predecessor, Spicer called the Aussie PM Malcolm 'Trumbull' instead Turnbull at least twice.
he gaffe was quickly picked up on social media where some suggested the Australian Prime Minister might actually prefer the nickname 'Trumbull'.
Spicer was being asked to respond to reports Trump had 'yelled' at his Aussie counterpart over his insistence the US stand by a deal to take refugees.
The President reportedly cut the call short after just 25 minutes when it was scheduled for an hour and described it as "the worst ever".
After the story received sparked blanket media coverage in Australia and threatened a diplomatic row, Trump dispatched two of his top aides to try and smooth things over.

If you don't know the Asho defense it should be learned and employed: Asoh, when asked by the NTSB about the landing, reportedly replied, "As you Americans say, I f@@ked up." https://www.revolvy.com/main/index.php?s=Asoh%20Defense&item_type=topic
I believe his name is Malcolm Turnblatt.
The name Trumbull is historically significant. I’d probably make the same mistake.
The Hon Malcolm Turnbull MP
Spicer must resign IMMEDIATELY!
Mistakes can be made——ask the Marine “corpse”. :-)
.
Me too, I am well known for mangling names.
But then neither of us are the White House Press Spokesman.
WhoTF cares?
And Navy “corpse men”...
“Mistakes can be madeask the Marine corpse. :-)”
My exact first thought! :-)
George W. Bush said “nucular” a zillion times over eight years as POTUS.
OMG! Stop the world and let me off.
Me for one.
I am engaged in political debate with an Aussie (which are among my favorite Nationalities) and this gave him an edge.
Gave uppity kangaroos a chance to throw tantrum. They have been coddled and spoiled for several years by Obama.
Maybe there is an underlying message here: Australia is a junior partner, even more so for their alignment with Obama, and not worthy of getting their names straight. End of day, we don’t care.
It will give the media ankle biters something to yip and yap about while President Trump is doing more important things.
That was my first thought...he purposely says the name wrong as a backhanded insult.
IMHO this is not the place, person or Country to be petty with wrong names.
Now is this were the head clown shummer I would agree with you.
President Trump invited the Pope for lunch on his mega yacht, the Pope accepted and during lunch, a puff of wind blew the Pontiff’s hat off and right into the water.
It blew off about 50 feet, then the wind died down and it just floated on top of the water.
The crew and the secret service were scrambling to launch a boat to retrieve it, when Trump waved them off, saying “Never mind, boys, I’ll get it.”
The Donald climbed over the side of the yacht, walked on the water to the hat, picked it up, walked back on the water, climbed back into the yacht, and handed the Pope his hat.
The crew was speechless, the security team, and the Pope’s entourage were speechless.
No one knew what to say, not even the Pope.
That afternoon, NBC, CBS, ABC, MSNBC, CNN all covered the story.
Their banner headlines read,
“TRUMP CAN’T SWIM”!
