....[SEALs unit spokeswoman Lt. Jacqui] Maxwell described the investigation as a command inquiry that could lead to punishment if warranted. She also said it wasnt immediately clear if those involved were SEALs or support staff.
.... The paper reported Thursday that a Kentucky-based anti-Trump group was one of the first to post video of the incident on its website, calling it a fascist tactic that is not acceptable. RESIST!!!
[Apparently a KY goat farmer took the photo/video and posted it as a lark, and then some KY SJW noticed it and alerted the Antifaghi or whatever they're called.]

Anarchists are burning down our cities, and some bureaucratic twit in a uniform is bitching about Special Forces showing patriotism and respect for their CiC.
The biggest reason for repealing Don't Ask, Don't Tell was so the homo crowd could identify and connect with each other.
It may be too late to weed them out, but they need to at least be put into units where they can do the least harm.
Don't know if anyone can confirm...or refute...this.
Go hide in your safe space, and remember, don’t eat the crayons.
I have been out of the military since long before this craziness started, so if you need more, try pinging Freepers who are still in the military.
I thought the rules only prohibited contemptuous comments about officials or attending political rallies in uniform. I didn’t know they prohibited positive comments about sitting presidents. As has been noted, they certainly didn’t stop the live in the military from rubbing everyone’s noses in BO’s social experiments.
It’s wrong to honor your commander-in-chief?
It’s not a matter of political correctness; it’s a matter of preventing the military from appearing partisan by any measure. Showing patriotism with American flags isn’t a problem and never has been. Showing a political campaign symbol is, based on current existing regulations.
I know.. it sounds anachronistic, but the military’s conformity, discipline and impartiality are among the traits that keep it the best in the world.
Little, in anything, will happen to these guys in this instance; they’ll simply be reminded what’s authorized as a display on military vehicles and what isn’t.
The correct military response is “after thorough investigation we have failed to find out who did that but we’re so glad you reported it. Have a nice day”
Positive comments about the President aren't what this is about; they were flying political campaign flag, and under existing DOD instructions, they're prohibited. They can, however, fly whatever campaign flags they want on their vehicles (in most cases), and on private property.
Except that it happened after the election. If it had happened before the election, I could understand, but it didn’t.
That's cute. Now.. back to reality. Did my previous comments somehow give you the impression I was in any way offended by what the SEALS did? Hell no. I merely stated existing DOD instructions prohibit political paraphernalia on military vehicles. Read it twice so you can comprehend.
The current guidances doesn't differentiate, but I see your point.

In another thread on this subject, it was said that Trump has already filed for the 2020 election as a candidate, so technically we have started that election now. :)

Again, I was looking for specific examples so that I could judge for myself how much of a violation occurred. They may exist, and they may not . . . if they do, then I'd like to compare this instance with the other(s), and if they do not, I'll shrug-off your "outrage."
Ahhh, Hell.
Give ‘em 50 extra pushups for ‘punishment’ and MoveOn.
SEALs will eat it up like frosting on a cake...and thank you for the extra exercise.
From an era that has long since passed: As a US NPS Ranger in '75, a fellow Seasonal Ranger was "dressed down" by superiors after someone reported seeing her in uniform shopping in a liquor store in Jackson Hole after work.
Can't imagine that happening now!
So glad this important investigation is taking place, goodness knows it’s vital to our democracy and most certainly is news worthy.
Oh, what about all those organized and paid rioters who assaulted and set businesses on fire. Any word on any arrests or investigations?
Yea, thought so. This is just more cowering by officials to the left totalitarians. Every day these vile children target another person or business they don’t agree with and become “OUTRAGED” and start demanding this or that.
