Multinational beer and spirits company Diageo, which owns Guinness and Harp, among many other famous brands, is planning on opening a brand new Guinness brewery in Baltimore County, Maryland in the fall.
It will be the first Guinness brewery in the US in 60 years.
Diageo is planning on investing $50 million (46 million) in this project and will begin construction this spring at a former bottling plant in Relay, MD, which closed in 2015. The project is expected to create 70 new jobs in brewing, warehousing and packaging, as well as in the visitor experience side of the operation.

Thank you Mr. Trump.
Swore off Guinness after they supported the homos int eh St Patrick’s day parade.
Where? The old Natty Bo plant in Baltimore?
Becks is made in St Louis, Fosters in GA, now Guiness in MD. Knock it off.
I remember visiting relatives outside of Baltimore. Passed by a Carling brewery, I think.
If The Donald did drink,, I bet he would be OK with Guinness.. even tho he has a bit of a Bavarian ancestry.. albeit he has a father from the Rhineland and a mother of Scottish birth.
(Insert Mug Clink)
Guiness is brewed in over 50 countries.

Stay Safe Friend !
Sadly, that brewery was demolished. I believe the site in question was Calvert Distillery a few iterations ago.
Actually, it will just be a bottling plant for beer brewed in Ireland. After a few years, they will decide if they will do any brewing here.
Becks has been destroyed with that move. Mississippi River water does not make good beer, and Becks had its flavor changed.
I hope Guiness doesn’t screw this up.
However, Yuengling’s Black and Tan does very well.

Guinness???!!!!
Ugh. Oh well. Jamison still safe?
Hopefully Guinness will institute a very strict quality control system for its brewery. I remember trying the domestic Lowenbrau brewed her by Miller’s and Tuborg, whom I don’t remember who had the concession for brewing. They made Pabst and Black Label taste like ultra high quality beer. I visited the Tuborg brewery in Denmark and the guide told of the failure of its contract brewery in the States and I told him that he was completely correct and that the “Tuborg” was definitely inferior.
As you can imagine, the prospect of 60 new jobs has generated quite a bit of excitement in the area.
Is Tuborg still brewed?
